Hi all, this is my first question/post! I attached a figure that describes the project I am working on at the moment (I recommend taking a look at the image as it's simple and sums up the majority of the project). Basically, as time goes on the fluid in the lower chamber transfers over to the upper chamber, thus causing the air-gap to decreases. Each electrode is acting as a capacitor plate and the air-gap is the separation distance between the plates. As time passes the plates "come closer" and the capacitance measured should rise. Correct me if I'm wrong but I believe that much should be true. I also believe the circuit diagram I drew in the top right corner of the schematic is correct as well; once again correct me if I'm wrong. My question lies on what sensing device I should use i.e. what should be the farad range of the device, where should I hook it up in the system etc. Any help will be greatly appreciated!!
