Am working on a simple motion detector using a Vero board and simple components. Once the sensor has been tripped I want to set off a LED on a separate board. What is the cheapest simplest way to achieve this?

Any help or or ideas would be appreciated.

Not enough info, cheapest would be a wired system. If the distance is significant, wireless would do it. There are going to be a number of options between the two.

Hi Richard,

Looking for wireless ideas, distance of no more than 10-20m. Basically looking to create a motion detector for a stag position, to set the sensor out from the stag position no more than distance above, that once triggered will alert the person in the stag position silently i.e by flashing LED

Is that enough information?

A simple remote control transmit and receive pair would do it. They are sold by places like Element14, Mouser, SparkFun.
