Hi all!! My name is Angelos. I am a software engineer , part-time inventor , motorcycle enthusiast and racing fan from Greece. I started working on this project during summer , after careful consideration of the challenge , some hours of research and large barrel of beer I ended up on a serious problem regarding the electric-motors in general.
I am not expert in electric motors but I have studied their basic principles, a while back when the project was just a thought .So let's FFWD ....
What are we building?
An electric supercharger
Application?
Forced Induction for CBR1000rr motorcycle
What is the Challenge?
The electric motor must be fast , reliable and compact.
And finally my questions:
a.30000 rpm , possible but for how long?
b.Will armature temperature impact performance or just it's reliability?
c.If motor's speed is dictated by armature size, voltage , current , Hz(?) , does it mean that a small , fast and reliable motor is impossible?
This is just the tip of the ice-berg but your respose would help me tons.Cheers!
