I have a 1000 Watt AM Radio Transmitter that works with 220 Volts, but whenever we turn on the AC in the building it goes off. After we turn it back on its stays on. The problems happens only when we turn on the AC. I have been told that we need some sort of a power regulator. Please advice.

Hi Hector Patino,

your transmitter may take a max of 4.5 amps on peak conditions, but the switching /starting current will be higher for all electronic and electrical equipments ,in your transmitter case it may even go up to 6 amps for few seconds so i suggest you to
provide two independent trip circuit for your transmitter and ac unit, since your ac trip circuit may be exceeding its current rating along with the transmitter.
