I am looking for a suitable generator set that will supply emergency power to our booster pump system and as well the borewell pump during power interruptions. The booster system consists of 3 sets of 3hp pumps with 230V single phase supply and while the borewell pump is 7.5 hp 380V 3-phase supply.

What would be the recommend generator specifications use as per the mentioned requirements?

Generators are typically sold by wattage. You have two different conditions here, a single and three - phase. I guess that would need two generators, one for each type? Also since this are pumps, I believe stationary ones will do. I think that most important specification is that can the generator handle all your power needs.

If the motors are all on at same time than your demand is 16.5 kva, and a 16.5 kva or better gen will work. If the loads are not all on at same time, then you need to size based on largest load. You can run a 3 phase 4-wire 380V gen for the borewell pump, and power your single phase 230 V booster pumps by connecting line to neutral for 220V.
