Best Books for Beginners to Learn Electronic Circuits with Diagrams and Explanations

i am beginner and i want to understand behaviour of different circuits and its components. For example if there is a 555 ic timer circuit how it works. How transistor filp flop works. Please suggest me a book that explains electronic circuits with diagrams and its complete explanation.

"Solid State Pulse Circuits" by David Bell.

Explains every detail concisely and perspicuously.

If you are comfortable with algebra and want a single book that covers a very large swath of electronics, then it is hard to beat "The Art of Electronics" by Horowitz and Hill. It is a big book, but it provides a comprehensive, pragmatic explanation of all the fundamentals of electronics.

The third edition is current, but older editions are still useful. The book is fairly expensive but given the hundreds of hours you will spend reading it, it is worth it (most college libraries will have the book).
