Safe methods to add DC bias to Picoscope 5000 signal generator output for 3.2-3.6V

Sorry in advance if the question is silly for someone. I need to change the output voltage between 3.2-3.6 V to receive the square waves while their resolution could be received with signal generator ( the resolution is too high). However, the SG does not produce enough output voltage so some DC biasing should be added. I use picoscope 5000 as a SG and I am afraid that if I use it in series with power supply it will be burnt. What are the simple and safe ways to add biasing to SG? Thank you in advance.

 

Usual way is with a "bias T".
At low frequencies they can be made with a restive divider to avoid needing a large inductor, but you have to watch the resistor values, have to consider the source and load impedance. The capacitor needs to have a low impedance at the frequency of interest. This method will not work if the signal is not continuous. If you are dealing with pulses then you might need to use an op-amp with an offset adjustment, that can work to high frequencies with an appropriate op-amp.
If the instruments are isolated, then sometimes the ground can have an elevated DC voltage on it.

I am not entirely sure what you are trying to do, but it is possible to create fairly sophisticated level shifts using just resistors.
