Guys, I hope to hear your voice. And the following paragraphs are merely my personal opinions toward the possible phonelike PC's future. Any discussion or ideas is highly welcomed. As we spending more and more time using our mobile phone, PC market has been rapidly shrinking in recent years. We’ve seen a lot of manufacturers trying to make phonelike computers. But at least now, I haven’t known any PC successfully achieve.
I think Window RT, a lightweight version of Windows 8, is an abortive attempt of Microsoft. With it, the PC maker tried to make the computer thinner and lighter, which seemed more akin to our phone. However, merely seeing the PC shipments installed with Windows RT, we can already view its failure. Its shipment only accounted for 0.4% of the whole market. Also, it has several disadvantages. For example, (1) flash only works on approved sites; (2)Apps can only be purchased through the Windows Store; (3)For business users, Windows RT is less than ideal;(4)So-called legacy apps-- the traditional programs for older versions of Windows -- won't run on Windows RT.Btw, I'm really excited to see the performance of Windows 10.
