Conveyor Motor Tripping: Steps to Diagnose Overload, Faults, or Electrical Issues

Hello everyone, Please help me regarding this question.

Well, firstly  the conveyer will be stopped, that' s a dead giveaway. Secondly, in a well designed system there will be at least a circuit breaker tripped, or possibly a motor controller of some sort that would have some indication of an overload of fault condition.

Could Albert mean that the conveyor motor trips out and he wants to know what caused the motor to trip out.This is the field engineers meat and gravy working out what happened to cause a stoppage in a system. First look at maintenance records, then at the way the user is managing the system. After this start looking at things like voltage high / low trip outs, and environment influences. The list just goes on but mostly it is 99% hard work and 1% inspiration to find these faults. Oh I forgot, have a word with the motor supplier they have probably met your problem already many times.Good luck

   You can observe following simple steps to diagnose condition of a motor. If motor is not work at all, check connectivity between winding terminals. If connectivity between windings is shown, then windings are OK. Then check connectivity between winding terminals and motor body. Connectivity should not be shown between terminal and motor body. if motor trip after working some time , following matters may be reason,1. Wearing of motor bearings (friction of bearings have been increased and need to change)2. Low voltage (This will lead to draw high current by motor. Major reason may be lack of kVA of power source)
