Wired vs Wireless Headphones: Apple Earpods, JBL Synchros, Jaybird X2, Marsno M1 Comparison

What's your choice?

I've now used both. Actually have used the following:

Lots of misc cheapy wired



Apple earpods. Surprisingly good imo

First wireless.

Jbl synchros react I think they are called.

Sounds good. Not a lous as wired. Have some issues with sound clipping out depending on signal.

Picked up some jaybird X2's as I heard they were top dog in wireless. Usually 150 got um for 75.

No noticeable sound difference over 60.00 jbl's.

Fit was also no better.

They didn't seem to clip out though so better bluetooth connection.

Not enough differences so returned.

Decided to try a nice wired.

Marsno M1 is sound and fit. Also much lighter and smaller than wireless.


Accidentally I watched one interesting headphone. As I have little knowledge of it, I can not make any comparison with others.

So basically I'm still searching for the best option.

Personally I prefer Wired vs Wireless -- I think you get better quality sound and fewer problems with batteries -- in my case, I mainly use them to watch videos on my iPad when I'm flying somewhere. I'm still using some Sony MDR NC500D digital noise-cancelling headphones.I picked these up ages ago now -- it was a treat I gave myself after giving a presentation at the Microsoft campus in Redmond Washington (see also Really Annoying Music Suppressors and $400 Noise-Cancelling Headphones vs. $25 Earmuffs)
They were $400, which was a lot of money, but I thought it was worth it based on how much time I spent in the air back then.As I say, this was years ago and they are still going strong -- but I do wonder how much things have improved over the years, and I'd love to know which are the best (affordable) noise-cancelling headphones today.

In addition to wired vs wireless, there is also in-ear, on-ear and over-ear. All the ones you've mentioned appear to be in-ear which used to be called ear-buds. Now that they are being called headphones it makes my search for something suitable much more difficult. You see, I have hearing aids which means I can't use in-ear headphones. I also wear glasses which means that headphones that rest on my ears (on-ear) tend to be uncomfortable after a while. This leaves headphones that go around the ears (over-ear). 
There are a lot of people who think the over-ear headphones are the best for audio quality. The main disadvantage is that they are relatively large and clunky looking. I tried some inexpensive wireless ones but they  tend to react badly to microwave ovens. Do the wireless headphones that you've tried have the same problem? I mostly want to be able to move around the house while still being able to hear the radio/stereo that's in one room.

Hi,When I connect earphones to iTunes and so There was an error connecting to the apple id server. It was not responding when I connect any other device with iPhone including wired earphone also and Bluetooth. I don't know what should I do sort it.
