Hi to everybody.I am building an inductor. To increase its inductance i have thinked to fill it with metals.Is it correct if I use "iron powder" to obtain a good inductor with an high permeability?Thank you very much.John

Hi Yes, of course. The important is don't use solid iron. The iron powder must be very very small. Don't use iron sawdust. Use iron filing instead. You can get very good results with very fine powder. You can produce it using a bench grinder and a lot of pacience..... Then you can measure its inductance using an inductance meter... you'll see how the inductance of your inductor will increase...
