What instrument could you use to measure the time-dependent current of a spark from say a Wimshurst machine? The current would be on and off real quick so I wasn't sure if an oscilloscope would work or if you would need some sort of special type of instrument.
Also, could the safety of the Wimshurst machine be determined by the maximum value of the current? Or would how long a given current was applied be more relevant for determining safety?
