Electrical engineering specialties for designing GoPro, Sony Actioncam internal components?

I’d like to know what kind of electrical engineer would design the internal components of digital and mobile micro video cameras. Devices like action video cameras, i.e. Sony Actioncam and GoPro, etc. Understanding how optics and video compression work, etc.

It is a recently expanding sector.
Today there are extremely sophisticated products.
There are even cameras with artificial intelligence chips, incorporated into a single chip.
The search for models should include the following parameters:
- super fast camera:> 500 fps
- artificial intelligence support
- neural networks

For designing or researching these products, an electronics engineering degree would cover a lot of it, but there would be large components of specialist software engineering, and physics, covering semiconductor design, and optics. Since most people specialise in a single field, you are unlikely to be able to work where you would be doing all of these unless you had an incredibly broad skill set, normally you would be part of a team, either in the private sector or in a university.
