How do I increase the signal strength of the WiFi ESP12?

    Added after 2 [minutes]:

Hello, I need help with the issue of increasing the signal strength between two ESP12 modules.
For this purpose I have purchased the larger 12 dB antenna shown in the picture:

However, using this larger 12 dB antenna did not increase the signal strength compared to this smaller antenna shown in the photo, in fact even using the 12 dB antenna has less signal strength.
I'll show the tips more closely, maybe some wave matching needs to be applied. Please give me your ideas:

How much does it currently have?
How much do you owe yourself?

I currently have about - 90 dB , if I had about - 80 dB that would be enough.
Communication outside but basement and 1st floor about 30 to 40 m after obstructs the corner of the block.

Doesn't your module have a jumper to select internal / external antenna like the wemos D1 Mini PRO ?

On what principle do such amplifiers work , ie do they amplify all signals or just dedicated ones? How does it work?
