    Hi,
Please advise. I am planning to add control of a stair lighting circuit via NPN NO 12 V or 24 V infrared sensors. In a nutshell the house control panel is based on a Raspberry Pi CM4 on which I have some free pins, the 230 V circuits are controlled by Finder 24 V 6 A switches (separation on the board relay under the CM). I am wondering what module to use to separate the GPIO circuit of the Raspberry from the 24 V, would using a PC817 be apt? Which module would be best and in which circuit? Thank you.
AI: What exact model of NPN sensors are you planning to use (or what are their output parameters, e.g. maximum output current, do they have built-in current limiting resistors)?

AI: Can you describe or draw how you plan to connect the sensor, optoisolator and GPIO (e.g. will the sensor directly control the optoisolator diode or do you envisage additional components in the circuit)?
I don't know, I'm just asking for the correct schematic.
