I really like the cutting off of devices from the ubiquitous cloud, and at the same time the simplicity of use and professionalism of the OpenBeken project.
I had a need to use a remote on/off switch for a USB-connected device, so I bought two pieces of cheap adapters.
I was guided by the photos and the picture on the packaging, as they are described as Type C, but are in fact Type A.
Quite easy to open, just undermine the latches and pull the flap upwards.
I ordered two pieces and each looks different from the ones I've seen in other topics, plus each has a different processor (BK7231N/CBU and BK7238/T1-U-HL) .
I've uploaded both seamlessly using the BK7231Flasher, having soldered them off the main board.
A process analogous to similar ones from the topics:
Door sensor without TuyaMCU - easy guide on flashing and confi
Tuya USB Smart Adapter HC-S5050-WIFI - removal, OpenBeke flashing guide
Below are some additional pics.
