Hey,
I acquired a second-hand Sharp Aquos LC-43CFE4142E. It's currently on firmware 1.16, but the HDMI CEC settings are locked (grayed out) no matter what I do. Going into service mode (Menu -> 1 1 4 7) and under General Settings I can find Hotel Mode set to On, but even turning that Off doesn't unlock HDMI CEC settings. The settings are there, but they're grayed out.
I'm looking for a newer (or honestly just different) firmware version for that TV, if anyone has one for me I'd be incredibly grateful.
Thanks!
AI: What country/region is the TV from, and can you share the exact model/chassis/version info from the sticker on the back (if there’s any suffix or serial/version code)?
I've bought it in the UK, but don't know where it's originally from. Serial number is A43CF3132EBPA1
AI: After turning Hotel Mode off, does it stay off after a full reboot/factory reset, and have you already tried updating through the TV’s normal USB/software update menu?
Factory reset turns Hotel Mode back on in the service menu. Interestingly, I can also open a Hotel Mode menu (Menu -> 7 0 6 9), in which Hotel Mode is always set to Off after a reset. But in the service menu settings it's On and resets to On.
