Firmware Request: F&U FL2D5505UH - 17MB130S - VES550QNDL-2D-N12 (dead after OTA, stuck in standb

Hi all,

TV died right after an OTA update, so I'm fairly sure the firmware is corrupted - but I can't find a matching file anywhere.

Set: F&U FL2D5505UH
Main board: 17MB130S
Panel: VES550QNDL-2D-N12
PSU: 17IPS72

Symptoms:
- PSU seems to be fine
- LED bars fine
- Never leaves standby - red LED blinks on plug-in
- Pressing the remote just makes it blink faster. No boot, no logo, no backlight

Questions/requests:
1. Anyone have a working dump for a 17MB130S with the VES550QNDL-2D-N12 panel? Or a known-good variant that's close enough?
2. Anything else worth checking before I go the reflash route, or is a failed OTA basically confirmation?
3. I've seen that the flash procedure on some models goes:
- Unplug the TV
- Insert the USB with the flash files
- Plug the USB into the TV's USB port
- Hold the Power button on the remote
- Plug the TV back in
- Wait a few seconds, then release the Power button

Is this the correct procedure for this model?

To start with, it seems to me that your TV won’t initiate the update from a USB stick because the TV on the Vestel board doesn’t stay on when you press the power button...
For the 17MB130S, it’s best to use a USB stick with the smallest possible capacity formatted in the FAT32 file system. Copy the files directly onto the USB stick. Now it’s best to unplug the TV from the mains. Insert the USB stick into the port. Take the remote control and press the OK button (pointing towards the TV). Whilst holding OK down, plug the TV back into the mains. It would be good if someone could help.

The LED should start flashing more rapidly…. This will indicate that the bootloader is reading the files. You can then release the button.
Generally speaking, it’s possible you’ve loaded the wrong software.

The 17MB130S board is used by several manufacturers. F&U, JVC, Toshiba, Hitachi, Telefunken or Finlux. So it doesn’t matter which manufacturer the file comes from, as long as it’s for the VES550QNDL-2D-N12 panel...
