Hello, my TV is stuck on the logo/reboot loop. I need the 17MB171 upgrade_loader.pkg file to flash it via USB. Could someone please attach or share it? Thank you!
Flashing the firmware may not produce the desired results if the eMMC chip itself is damaged.
You also haven’t specified which TV model it is, only the board model. The board model itself is found in many TVs, and consequently the firmware varies in configuration due to factors such as different display panels.
A safer approach:
Remove the eMMC chip, insert it into a programmer or plug it into the SDIO interface on an RPi, create an image of the chip, format the /data and /cache partitions using the programmer or under Linux via SDIO, solder the chip back onto the board and it should boot up without any faffing about with updates. Don’t worry about the encryption on /data. This way, you’ll manually perform a factory reset and force an initialisation.
And if it doesn’t boot, only then should you try flashing the update onto the bricked device – this is risky, as the bootloader may be paired with the CPU and will be overwritten during the process.
I had the same problem as you, and by flashing the update, I lost the bootloader, and with it the paired keys from the CPU. Unfortunately, there weren’t even any files available on the Chinese internet for remotely booting my CPU using the eISP technique via the VGA/HDMI port. I had to replace the motherboard.
So, back up first. Then flash.
