    Hello,

Sorry to ask such a trivial question, but nowhere can I find an intelligible answer. :(
What does the electronics mean by saying " mass "?
What exactly is mass in electronics?

    Regards,
    Jack

If the system is powered by a battery or a non-symmetrical power supply, the ground is usually the negative pole of the battery or power supply. So we connect all these black thick lines in the diagram to the negative pole of the power supply.
