Hello. I know that it is possible to redirect incoming calls on the phone to another number, but I have never heard of such a possibility in the SMS option.
Is it possible? Apparently, there is such an option in new phones.
At least that's what my friend's friends, GSM experts, say, who has something set on the phone (it's probably SAMSUNG).
Ie. In her opinion, it looks like the text message comes to her and automatically a copy of the text message is sent to another number - the one allegedly set on the phone as SMS redirection.
Like her guy intercepts the text messages that come to her number in this way.
And now I don't know if it's true or complete nonsense, because you pay for sending a text message, so my friend gets a text message on her number. must pay to send it to that redirected number.

I thought it was impossible, but from what my friend says, I think I'm lagging behind with the phones ...

Preferably someone who knows a specific answer.
    Greetings

    Hello
There is such a possibility (in calls for sure), although I have not checked it in practice on SMS. The advice for this friend is to turn off any redirects. This function should be on the phone, and if not on the phone, then with the network operator.
    greetings

Maybe it would be possible, but even if it could be done, she would not get these text messages, but he would.

Is there anyone who knows the answer? Maybe someone will try to do something like that? I do not see such an option on my phone.

What does the redirection operator have to do with this redirection?

There will be a fee for redirecting any calls.

Call redirection - by all means, SMS redirection - by no means. SMSs are sent to the selected number even when redirects to another number are active on it. As for the phone - restore the phone to its factory settings to be sure. On my Samsung (C100, E200) I don't see such an option.

In my opinion, she should call the customer service office and find out what kind of service she has active and possibly cancel them. This seems to be the most sensible solution.
    Greetings.

And in my opinion, the question was whether it was possible and not what the under surveillance girl should do.
I have a Samsung D600 and I don't see any option to set it up either.

I have redirected calls and text messages, but this option does not work. I have a plus.

    Hello
I heard that there is this type of option in the new Samsung, but none of the Polish operators are planning (at least for now) to introduce something like this. This would involve additional costs, because if, for example, someone calls us and we have a redirection set (does not apply to call forwarding to voicemail), the person calling us connects to the number to which we set the forward and if the call is answered, then WE pay for each minute of forwarded conversation. In the case of text messages, we would also have to pay for each redirected text message. Advise your friend to go to the operator and explain the situation, because all GSM telephony is based only on an IT system in which errors also appear, and even such errors, so if only something is wrong, they have to fix it. greetings

From what I associate with the new Samsung, there is no SMS redirection, but an SMS when changing the card to a predetermined number. (Such protection against theft) :) .
And as for redirection - it seems to me that it is technically feasible both from the phone and from the network level.

in any of the Polish networks it is not possible to set sms redirection, I have checked it at the request of many customers

    What a surveillance ...

What phone do you have it on? Enter the model.
I understand that the "patent" works only when someone has a positive account balance or subscription, because if I have, for example, a simplus and account 0, it is not possible to send a copy.

Wait a minute, my colleagues first of all confuse two concepts: redirection and forwarding. When I redirect phone calls to a number other than my own, I do not know that someone wanted to call me, because that person called to another number (he was redirected). There has been such a thing as sending text messages after opening it, the options include the forward command. It opens the text message and after it has been sent (forwarded), I am the sender, the text of the text message, of course, remains original (although it can be edited). The fact that my friend tiny112 has such an option automatically activated in the girl's phone does not change the fact that it is still sending a text message (his girlfriend gets it first, then he). If it were to redirect his girlfriend, she would not receive such a text message because it would go directly to his phone.

The only reasonable solution is to write a java midlet which, after intercepting the sms, will send it to the indicated phone number. Of course, it is related to the cost of sending a text message from the cell on which we will send it.
    Requirements:
virtual java machine (now they have everything except garbage 2310 etc.)
    Java programming skills

    Have fun :)

    You're wrong!!

As for redirections, it is a network service, the only network in Poland that allows redirecting text messages is the PLAY network!

THIS IS NOT POSSIBLE TO DO WITH THE JAVA APP !!
It is impossible to write a midlet so that it works in secret and interferes with the phone, and circumvent the security in the form of confirmation of sending by SMS applications !!

the case is different for symbian applications, where you can do literally everything ...

But you wrote down and it's slowly starting to get off-topic.
Soon someone will insert a text message scheme
A colleague asked a simple question,

"I mean, in her opinion, it looks like a text message comes to her and a copy of this text message is automatically sent to another number - the one allegedly set on the phone as SMS redirection.
Like her guy intercepts text messages that come to her number in this way. "

It is not possible, especially without her knowledge.
    greetings

SMS forwarding is possible and sometimes used. On a Symbian phone, you can install an appropriate program that works in the background and is therefore invisible to an ordinary user. This can be used to monitor the unfaithful partner (partner) or employees in the company. It is also possible to filter calls and text messages. You can set an anti-spam filter for unwanted SMS and thus not receive advertisements such as "sms from Santa", "win Seat", etc. such messages are saved to a separate folder.
If a girl has a talented boyfriend, 3 minutes with her phone is enough for him to always know who and when is writing to her ;)
Samsung models on which something like this can be done are, among others, Samsung SGH-i450, SGH-i550, SGH-i560 and everything else with Symbian on board.
Regards, I think I have dispelled my doubts.

I did not take into account the PLAY network.

I confirm the redirection of text messages in the PLAY network (while being out of range or unavailable)
I checked it personally on the prepaid play card (not in the subscription) and you do not need to have any funds on the account.

    greetings to all

both services (call and SMS forwarding are set up in the network, not in the phone

therefore, both the fee can be different or waived, while the factory reset will not do anything: this is a service, not a phone function

call transfer can be set either as immediate or with a delay, e.g. 15s ...

in the first case, the second one rings immediately, in the second case, the phone rings for 15 seconds, and then the one to whom the call is transferred calls

Voicemail works on the basis of call forwarding

What does the redirection operator have to do with this redirection?

the operator has it that this is a network service, not a phone function
technically operators have been ready for it for a very long time, and it was only in telephones that the possibility of controlling it appeared recently, it is simply rarely used

It is possible, there are premium gateways on the Internet that allow you to send text messages with any sender field for a fee.

Returning to the topic of SMS redirections, as far as I know no Polish network offers it.

You can also use a mobile phone, but you would have to create an appropriate application that will prepare such a text message. There must be something on the internet.

By the way, I think everything has been said:

    1. SMS TRANSFER is possible
    2. SMS redirection is possible
    3. there is no problem in Poland

further discussions lead to the repetition of what has already been written even on this topic.

Topic summary

The discussion centers around the possibility of redirecting SMS messages to another number on Samsung phones. Users express skepticism about the feasibility of SMS redirection, noting that while call redirection is a common feature, SMS redirection is not widely supported by Polish network operators. Some participants mention that SMS forwarding can be achieved through specific applications, particularly on Symbian devices, but emphasize that this requires user consent and is not a standard feature on most phones. The consensus is that while technically possible, SMS redirection is not available in practice within the current Polish telecommunications framework, and users are advised to check with their network operators for any available services.
