    Hello

I have a problem with my car (Renault Megane II 1.5 dci 2005), namely. While driving on the route, at some point I got an injection foul on my computer. I did not notice that the car was smoking and it did not lose its power. The next day I sent the car back to the service to connect it to the computer and check everything. I found out from the service guests that everything was ok except for the air conditioning conduit which was leaky and thus the air conditioning was unsealed and therefore the computer was showing an error. Somehow I didn't feel like it, but oki. Only that after fixing this fault, the same message flashed to me again recently.

Please, give me a hint what to do next. I will be very grateful.

PS. What do you think about STP diesel injector cleaners? I am wondering whether or not to use

I am waiting for info and best regards

it is a temporary and individual failure, if it has not been saved as an error, it is not a fault.

Do nothing while the engine is running properly. Such a malfunction could be misspelled for several reasons and should not be alarmed if it does not recur.

    Hello.
Standard procedure and common fault in 1.5 DCI.

The light comes on - the engine does not work or the power drops.
95% of the defects that appear are injector failures. (failure to maintain the set pressure.
To eliminate this fault, check the injectors for "overflow"
    Overflow test:

Remove the rubber hoses from the overflow fitting on the injectors and plug them.
In place of the overflows, connect measuring tubes (you can also connect plastic hoses with a length of about 50 cm and at their ends attach plastic syringes with a capacity of about 100 ml.
The next step is to start the engine. Idle (idle speed) measurement min 1 min. the value of the transfer cannot exceed 30ml. The difference between the injectors is not more than 30%.
If any injector overflows, replace it with a new one or repair it.

    Regards.

I had the same, except that the orange service light turned on. After connecting to the computer at Renault Dealership (PLN 160), it showed a defect of the 4th injector (standard in 1.5). They coded (service included in the connection price) and I have peace of mind (35,000 km) until today. My advice - if you connect to the computer, only at Renault Dealership, they have the most up-to-date software, nothing else will indicate anything, and if you indicate it, you will not understand the number of messages. Good luck.

    Hello,
Did you ever experience a delicate chip tuning - / + about 18-20 horses more caused such an error after a few kilometers from uploading the mod and going for a test ride? if so, how did you solve the problem?

The post is old, but the topic is interesting, with this message, the cruise control also stopped working :) power ok, etc. The reason was a faulty brake light sensor :)

I have a similar problem with Rhein. An injection fault message flashed after the route. When it starts to revolve, it lights up and then goes out after a short drive. No smoking, nothing is happening. In addition, if I report the engine, I cannot start it. Help

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an injection fault issue in a Renault Megane II 1.5 dci (2005) model. The user reported an injection fault warning without noticeable performance loss or smoke. A service check revealed a leaky air conditioning conduit, which was thought to be the cause of the error. However, the fault reappeared after repairs. Responses from other users suggest that such injection faults can be temporary and may not indicate a serious problem if the engine runs smoothly. Common causes include injector failures, particularly in the 1.5 dci engine, and users recommend performing an overflow test on the injectors to diagnose issues. Some advise connecting to a Renault dealership for accurate diagnostics. The user also inquired about the effectiveness of STP diesel injector cleaners.
