    Hello.
Car: Renault Megane II ph II engine 1.6 16V benz. symbol: K4M
Recently, I have noticed a significant decrease in power (slush), especially when starting or accelerating, the accelerator works as if delayed. I noticed a hissing sound from the engine compartment when the gas was added suddenly. The problem is I can't remember if it was heard before. Is this hissing normal in these engines?
I don't have access to the clip, so I used MaxiEcu with Elma, I found only two errors DF080 and DF624.
    Please help ?

Camshaft sensor and injector errors. Check cables and power supply. Hissing should not occur. There may be a leak in the inlet.

Go somewhere for diagnostics and connect the clip and not any inventions that are often misleading. If it comes to leaks, it's on the ear and preferably some spray remover and driving in turn on the collector in front of the back, etc.

one mechanic, as I did another thing a week ago, when he got in and ran over, he asked when I changed the timing ... and also said that it is probably rearranged: / asote, can the timing itself change?

There is nothing to be worried about checking.

How can you say that moved as He did not put on the locks. In these engines it is difficult to hear by ear that he skipped the belt. For me it is sick. I could but I need to check it by putting on the locks.

said that it is strange that so meganka with this engine does not behave ... ok, so I have to change the timing soon so I will drive and I will do it sooner.

I was with two mechanics and, as always, disappointment, they rode, listened, looked ... Lord, it goes very well, what do you expect, it is only 100 km is not Porshe. You can leave a look under the clip and it will change if you need something. As for the hissing, I heard from one that it should be like this .... and in the other that these meganki had one so one has the other no, but you can search.

I am after the timing replacement, the improvement in driving dynamics is but not significant. Error DF080 disappeared, only the error remained in the engine module with the symbol: DF624 according to descriptions found on the Internet is a message UPC multiplex connection, bus fault. I don't know if this is a correct interpretation of this error. MaxiEcu reading using elm

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Renault Megane II ph II with a 1.6 16V engine experiencing a significant decrease in power and a hissing sound when accelerating. Users suggest potential causes including camshaft sensor and injector errors, possible inlet leaks, and timing issues. Recommendations include performing diagnostics with proper equipment rather than unreliable tools, checking for leaks using spray, and ensuring the timing belt is correctly positioned. The author reports that after replacing the timing, driving dynamics improved slightly, but an error related to UPC multiplex connection remains.
