I have such a problem, all sounds from the computer go to the microphone, it happened to me overnight.
I was looking at the settings in the chat program ventrillo , but everything is ok there. The problem is in the Windows settings, anyone know what to do?
I'm sorry if I put the topic in the wrong place, but I didn't know where?
    I corrected TONI_2003

Maybe try uninstalling your sound card and reinstalling it. I don't know if this will have any effect, but it won't hurt to try - maybe after reinstalling the sound settings will be restored.

If you hear sounds from the computer in the microphone, check where you connected the microphone ... But I'm not sure if that's what you mean. Unless everything you say into the microphone, without any recording software, and you hear it through the speakers, then look at the sound settings on your computer. ;)

NO. I mean that when I talk through ventrillo, what I hear, i.e. reaches my headphones, is immediately delivered to the microphone and the signal goes on
or when I record something in a sound recorder and play music in winamp silently, I can hear it there and it shouldn't

Can you hear sounds from the microphone?
Is everything ok with the microphone? :D
    Condenser microphone can't "play"

Please specify your question or explain the situation more clearly

In my opinion, the problem is that a friend listens to music during a conversation and the microphone collects this music and sends it to the interlocutor. Is everything ok when you turn off the music?

ok, my question is a bit chaotic, you don't understand what I mean. I will try to explain it.
I'm talking to a friend I'm saying something he answers me then when I want to tell him something he hears what he said earlier in the echo.

ME->friend->me+friend's echo earlier (terrible noises and unclear)

everything is ok with the microphone, something in the windows settings must have changed but I don't know what

How can sounds go into the microphone?
The microphone is an input device, not an output device!

Well, that's how it is, I can't describe it any other way.

A friend has the microphone too close to the headphones, or the headphones are too loud.

Some microphones, when you plug them into headphones, can make a sound. My grandfather has such a microphone. ;) My grandfather used to make WALKIE - TALKIE, not wireless but with a cable. One box and the other had a speaker in it that acted as a microphone - when you pressed the button, and when not pressed it acted as a speaker. ;)

Hahahaha I almost pissed myself reading this haha. I understand that you may not know anything about computers but this is a shock haha.

Start => Settings => Control Panel => Sounds and Audio Devices => Advanced => Options => Properties => Recording (select all in the list) => Select Mic instead of Stereo Mixer

I had the same problem and I did this:
In the volume control (playback) there is "Microphone volume", click mute and then you won't hear yourself in the headphones, but the program will hear it. Let your friend do the same.

right, I would advise you to enter Start  all programs  accessories  entertainment  volume control and then:
    Microphone
    Advanced settings
    uncheck the backup microphone

But no one asked - what kind of sound card is it and what drivers does it work with.
I have, for example, SB Live and there is 1 hook that I can do so that the microphone will work + what is fed to the headphones. You hear what I hear - that's how Polish will be ;)
