Hello, I have a problem that my computer, instead of recording what I say into the microphone, records internal sounds (ie everything that happens on the computer, eg Winamp). I will give an example, I am talking to my friend on Skype, he says something, I hear it but he does not hear sounds from the microphone but from my computer.
I attach screenshots with the settings:

You need to mute "STEREO MIX". You can find it in the Realtek HD manager or by double-clicking the speaker icon next to the watch (it's the system one, not Realtek's). You go to Properties and choose Recording or Realtek INPUT. You select stereo mix, click OK and then select mute next to stereo mix.

It is probably not about muting the MIX STEREO but about selecting a MICROPHONE in the recording properties. Also check if it is set to MAX.
Control Panel -> Sounds -> Record (or recording, I don't remember, sorry)
But it looks like these are the settings. I know because I used to record music from internet radio via MIX STEREO ;)
