VW Golf V: Cruise Control Activation, Button ON, Constant Speed & Light Indicator Issues - PZR

How do I activate cruise control in a VW Golf, and why would the indicator light come on with the engine off but not work while driving?

Cruise control does not activate just by switching it to ON; you must drive at a steady speed above about 40–50 km/h, move the slider to ON, and then press SET to store the current speed [#5445142][#5445195][#5584191] The indicator should light when the switch is turned to ON [#5476504] If the light only appears with the engine off or goes out once the engine is running, the system may have a fault such as incorrect coding after a retrofit, a bad brake/clutch switch signal, or wiring/contact issues in the stalk, so it needs diagnostic checking [#5476302][#5582038] RES returns to the previously set speed, and holding SET or RES while cruise control is active increases or decreases the set speed [#5476351][#5584191]

first, accelerate the car to the desired speed, then set the slider to the ON position and press the SET button. The control unit will remember the car's current speed and the cruise control function will be activated.

I will add to the set that the speed is above 40 km / h, otherwise the cruise control may not turn on.

Colleague viruz997 asks only specific questions about the Golf V, suggests to study the manual of the car thoroughly in the evening. In the absence of instructions, look for Allegro, maybe someone has one for sale.

As they say in our village: if it was for a cow, you have to have a chain...
GOLF V in the garage, and you don't mind PLN 130 for a manual??? Shame :)
The cruise control may also not work, for example, the engine controller receives an incorrect signal from the stop or clutch switch, but in your case everything probably works, you just don't know the basics of operating your car.

Well, it's probably the cruise control "coded" from the controller, the contactology at the clutch / brake pedal (but it would probably throw an error ..) or the contactology / cable of the lever. It needs to be hooked up and tested.

Can you find a pirated version of this book? Hint: emule.

Hello. My brother just bought it and gave it a ride. I did it while driving, so I don't know what I was pressing. If I remember correctly, when I pressed the top of the button, the car accelerated until I let go. When I let go, it kept the speed. on our winding and congested roads. Regards.

If the indicator lights up when the switch is turned ON at a standstill, and goes off with the engine running, and additionally the ECU registers an error - incomprehensible switch signal, it all means that the cruise control was not factory-made, it was added, unlocked GAME in the ECU, but one small thing was not done which is generally not required in most golf/jettas,
you just happened to have to do it. Details on pw.
    Regards

The cruise control is definitely working, but you can't use it.
After 1 find the right way to learn cruise control
After 2, accelerate the car at least 50 km/h

    Switch the slider to ON
Press SET - Auto will maintain speed.
When you press the brake, the cruise control will stop maintaining speed. You press RES, the car will return to the pre-set speed.

While the cruise control is maintaining the speed, hold SET - the car will slowly increase its speed after releasing the cruise control will keep it. Analogous to RES, only the speed will decrease.

    That's all. widths.

This cruise control will not work, because after firing, the light on the meter goes out.
