As the topic. Recently, on alledrogo and on various forums, I see that people are starting to buy Nexen tires. The price is quite good PLN 270 per tire 17 "225/45 Thanks in advance for all opinions.
It seems to me that the price speaks for itself? Tires of this size are not bought for a rolling wheel, but for a car that already provides "some" performance, so it becomes necessary to ensure an appropriate level of grip when starting and braking. I have not dealt with these tires, but if I had to choose these tires, I would definitely think a few times before they would end up in the car. And when it comes to price, Wanli or Firenza are probably even cheaper.
If 225/45/17 and the car is to be used rather intensively (fast driving), I would invest in a tire called Bridgestone Potenza RE070 - maybe it's expensive, but something for something. Or from the news of the Toyo R1-R.
Give up the nexen tires As for the tires for sports driving, I recommend the toyo r888 max grip and inexpensive. Only now the question is whether you have a rear drive or 4 wheel drive ?? because these front tires are only suitable for 4wd cars (Subaru, Lancer, etc.), otherwise I recommend an asymmetrical tire for the front wheels ...
Did you use them to say so? If so, list the disadvantages. If not, then stay silent.

Especially after the rain. And actually inexpensive> 500PLN a piece (the cheapest I've seen) :D

Stop buying cheap crap lately I have stuck to such "cheap" tires, it is really worth adding a few dozen zlotys and taking care of your and others' lives
Moulder "Did you use them to say so? If so, then list the disadvantages. If not, do not speak up." my godfather has vulcanization and this is what my opinion about nexen (which he has on offer) is based on and he advised me against it ...
"Especially after the rain. And actually inexpensive> 500PLN each (the cheapest I've ever seen): Very Happy" as for the rain, the fact is they are holding up poorly .... but if you think that a sports tire for PLN 500 / item is expensive, I feel sorry for you ;)
"And how do you know from experience?" a friend has one on the lancer ... and some time ago I had it translated to me on CLK and it was a bit hard to drive ....
1. Don't be smart, your uncle has vulcanization, not you 2. In "vulcanization" holes are glued in the tires, and tires are bought at "tire service" or in tire stores, etc. If your uncle has the former, he doesn't know much about the tires. Unless you can't call a spade a spade?
Nexen tires are a very good Korean product, both summer and winter. Nexen sells the vast majority of tires in the USA. With a clear conscience I can say that the Polish tires of Debice, Kormorans, etc. have no flair for the Korean brand. Korea is not China. Koreans produce Hyundai Kia cars and probably no one complains about it, there are no scandals, the same is with the tires.
You can buy a nice sports tire, e.g. 225 / 45R17 Nexen N3000 for PLN 264 and be really satisfied with it.
I'm not riding them for too long yet, about 1000 km. , but I am writing fresh, as some are faced with the dilemma of choosing tires. Impressions: The tires are quiet, quieter than the Fulda or Barumas I have had recently. The Barumas on the Focus seem louder to me, but the Michelins on the Passat seem quieter. I don't know, that's my subjective feeling. As for the grip, they are not bad, they keep well in the dry, the braking distance is not longer than that. They perform really well in rain and snow, on wet asphalt, in heavy rain, in ruts. They stick to the road confidently, they drain the water well, I did not notice any longer braking distance, and even better traction in sharp turns than the previous Fulda. The car drives steadily on these tires, we feel the road well and the tires carry the car confidently in a certain direction. The rubber compound seems to be well matched, they are not too hard than too soft, I would risk saying that they are harder rather than soft, but I don't mind that. They will wear out slower. Sharp curves taken at high speed do not make the car deviate from the track, you can feel on the steering wheel that large forces are acting on the tires, but the car sticks to the road and track, better than on the earlier Fulda and even better than on the Barums in the Focus, despite there is quite a bit of a lower profile out there! They do not squeak when braking sharply (maybe it is the fault of the asphalt on which I was braking). The tires were easily balanced and so far there is no problem with them, they do not beat or pull the car, I pre-inflated them with 2.5 pressure, but it seemed too little and I hit 2.7 (size 225/70/16) The market price of my size is 250-270 PLN, also for the price of about 1000 PLN we get according to good tires for me and we have a two-year warranty as if something happened to them. Comparing these tires and looking for an equivalent for them among other brands, I would compare them to Matadors or Bridgestons whose set I also bought a new one - yes, according to They are as good as Bridgestone Dueler, but as I emphasize - I ride them for a very short time! As if something was happening, I will let you know immediately! At the moment I am satisfied.
This and I will be happy to speak, because I was looking for alternative tires and I said no to the Chinese ... I found Nexen 215/45/17 n3000. I will say this, you can buy and not be afraid, such forums are just to ask, unfortunately I just shot at that time because I could not find any info about these tires. But to the point. The tires replaced Dunlopy SP SPORT 9000 (I lost two in our beloved holes) I bought a set and: Total shock. - quieter than the Dunlopes - runs great both wet and dry. - are slightly balanced - they are soft (they can wear out faster)
In the previous car, I rode a Toyo T1-R and these tires behave similarly, on Toyo the car was glued.
I can also recommend the tires to people who are waving and who are temporarily under the line (I am just a wedding).
hmmm !! I'll tell you yes! in the usa, I rode a Nexen cp641 on a 220 horsepower Mazda 6! I will say briefly, a revelation !!! honestly i had goodyear exellence before and they only get cracked ass from nexens !!!! aha, and the price of nexen is not that cheap at all !! for size 225/50/17 -390 PLN. Greetings
Unfortunately, I cannot give such a flattering opinion about the nexen model n2000 tires. In my opinion, these are just condoms, not tires. Bearing in mind, above all, safety, I strongly advise against driving in the rain or on wet asphalt, because the car behaves like on ice. Braking even at low speeds of 40-50 km / h (of course with a stronger press of the brake) almost always ends with a slip and switching on the ABS (to prevent comments like it's probably bad ABS, I will add that the car has recently had a review and both ABS, as well as the entire suspension is 100% functional, but after disabling the ABS system, the vehicle skidded). So we can forget about driving in the rain (or on a wet road). In a situation when the road is dry, the car drives well, but I cannot say that the tires are especially quiet, although I have driven louder ones. Tire aimed mainly at adrenaline lovers or city drivers. For people who are going to go on tour, I have advice: check the weather in a good service or change the tires.
Greetings.
PS I am selling 4 almost new tires (mileage around 3000 km). I invite you to buy them if you think they are very good tires.
NEXEN. FAILURE !!!! BE WARNING !!! I have a Vectra C. I had an original Brigstone Turanza E300 215/60/16. In them I fell into a really big puddle twice. For once it was practically a strong stream that ran across a two-lane road during a storm, oddly enough across a two-lane road, but it's true. Near Ostrów Mazowiecka. The windshield wipers barely made such a rain. At the same time, an unreasonable speed of about 100-110km and I was overtaking. (I wanted to show that I can go faster than others in the rain. STUPID!) It scared me quite well, because the car was thrown quite violently to the side. I think it was about 25-30 cm, but the car gently came out of aquaplaning keeping the track, it is known that I released the gas pedal, did not brake and countered the steering wheel. It ended with fear. Phew and ALL THE LUCK. But next year I wanted 17 "rims, because ... they look nice. I bought them, but I needed tires. Having such experiences with venom as I described, I wanted to buy similar ones, e.g. Turanza or recommended by ADAC, or Michelin HP, Continentall Sport ... , and preferably Pirelli P7. Unfortunately, the price is PLN 500-700. So I looked for something that looks cool and visually corresponds to good water drainage, but they were cheap. because somehow I did not trust them, because I did not feel them like Turanze, 2 weeks after putting them on I decided to feel and try them Nexens on wet surfaces. But where. The choice fell on the company's parking lot on Saturday after a rainy week. Pools occupied the lowered places, including one with a diameter of 15 meters. Together with my friend, we rode through these puddles many times faster and faster. And so it is quiet up to 30 km. Feel nothing. But at higher speed it starts jerking the car. At 60 km, on smaller puddles, it tugs just like on Brigestone at 100, i.e. it throws the car to the side and changes the track by at least 25 cm. Above that speed, even more. Unfortunately, at 60km on this large 15m puddle, when Vectra had all the wheels in this puddle, in 8 out of 10 attempts it moved the car a lot more, changing the direction and track diametrically, and most of all, what scared me, Vectra fell into a 2-3 meter long inertial slide oblique, no counter possible. NIGHTMARE. We played with the Nexens until about 3 p.m., and the result was that the same Saturday I changed to the old 16 "Bridgestone wheels. Then I also decided to see how they would behave in the same puddles. There were some problems with the protection in the company, but I managed to enter. And what? Up to 60 km on any puddle, even on the largest one, you can not feel anything. NOTHING except braking, but this is the norm. I also tried, although because of the speed it is fear, I tried to 80 km and I can say that Bridgestone had a hard time feel that the car falls into aqaplaing (sorry, I don't know if it is spelled this way). The car was generally straight, fully under control. So I know that you should buy what they recommend in ADAC. I sold them for 1/3 the price of new ones through the Allegro because they were also damaged after the rehearsals, so I know what I am writing and I DO NOT RECOMMEND NEXENs, unless you want to become a suicide, but I have a family so sorry.
Oh well 3 years on "legs" version N3000 225/45/17 on the Vectra C Caravan As for me, there are no better tires for this price. Driven for 3 years, about 80 thousand. kilometers, including 3 times the route to Croatia with a full crew on board, i.e. 3 people + a dog and a full trunk. Absolutely no aquaplaning, perfect cornering, dry or wet surfaces. This year I am already looking for new ones and they will be Nexens N6000 in the same size. I recommend it with a clear conscience.
Hello I used the nexen win-suv 235/65/17 tires in my jeep grand cherokee all winter and I can say that they performed sensational. In all conditions. What surprised me was the fact that the tires wear out slowly, after driving approx. 4 kkm they look almost like new. Good tires for little money. greetings
Hello , I had N 2000 tires in the Subaru Impreza 230KM .. size 205/50 r16. Just the budget after buying the car forced me to make such a choice. So yes, if you are moving around the city (public roads), you can safely use such rubber. Even in the drenched rain, she managed to do it, a bit of it thanks to the 4x4, but without exaggeration.
City - YES, Tor - no (it's not a toy and not the $$$)
I put two nexens n6000 225/45/17 on the front for a test yesterday on Jaguar. Earlier, I rode it on Goodyear Eagle F1 (I bought it for such a car) and I was BROKEN. The car could not be driven at all, it was crazy all over the road, it creaked inside, I thought it was going to break down completely, after a short journey my hands and head hurt - we thought it was ruts, maybe too big wheels (17) for Polish roads. I was close to an EXCHANGE WHEEL FOR SMALLER! The Goodyear F1 car was so crazy, shaking, howling that I even wrote an e-mail to this company calling for help. Nobody wrote back. I mean - you know what it means.
So I put on these nexens (I've already ridden them in a different car before and was very pleased). A miracle has happened! The car drives like a string, and I feel like I'm on a comfortable sofa and I drive the vehicle, not me! They are really good, definitely softer than Goodyear, quiet, grippy - a fairy tale. In turns, on ruts, in holes, on dry, wet - approx.
In a word - BIG THANKS to Nexen for taking my car straight and saving me from neurosis Tomorrow I am ordering another two for the rear and goodbye Goodyear F1 !!!
My colleague from the post above - from Vectra, which behaved strangely in puddles, I recommend the TopGear program with the test of this car, in which Jeremy Clarkson ruthlessly reveals its inherent understeer and other attractions :)
And to the rest of my hesitating colleagues, I definitely recommend these tires. Well, unless you prefer it when it throws you, shakes you and drives you crazy and you have to pay twice as much for it than for a comfortable and pleasant ride :)
Greetings,
PS: these are not Chinese tires, but Korean - this is the purpose of correcting those who do not know what they are writing about ...
Hello yes, I read some of the comments and setbacks here :D
I have a bmw e46 330xi on nexenach 225/50 / r17 already a year and a revelation .. 231 horses the car flies on these tires is quiet and handling is also great yesterday it was snowing and I was already summer ... I recommend to everyone and not to overpay for super sports 1.9tdi tires or any other car to move from A to B ... better change the oil and filters
I RECOMMEND !! I did 30 thousand km and it's good when I eat, I will definitely buy a nexena only 225/45 17 :)
I bought a car with some Korean tires. Immediately, there was a fear that some mountains ..... well, I got eaten, I would have to change these rags soon. But after driving 4,000 on the highway in heavy rain and in a mixed cycle, during dynamic driving, I can say that NEXAN is a little known company in Poland, but the tires are grippy. I base my knowledge on the experience gained on Japanese motorcycles, where the tire is able to save your life many times during dynamic driving. Due to the fact that I once put a seasoned tire on the front, I broke my leg and for 2 years I used 8 screws on crutches with a twisted bone. So he attaches great importance to traction, even more than to power. greetings
Hello to all forum members. Honestly, I registered on the forum to support your discussion about these tires. Personally, I traveled 35,000 km on them in the season from May to mid-December and I had no problems with them. The tires were used on the BMW 530D E60 with a 218 HP engine at different speeds and different weather conditions. The tires perform sensationally on dry surfaces up to a speed of 210 km / h, I personally rode them the fastest at 230 km / h, but at this speed there was already discomfort. When it comes to wet driving and water drainage, they were doing very well, but when the rain had just fallen, it was not a revelation, the car sometimes lost traction and traction control had to work. Overall impressions, however, very good, the tires also performed quite well in the autumn months at temperatures of 2-7 degrees C. Conclusion GOOD TIRES for GOOD MONEY !!!!

I signed up specifically to describe my unpleasant experiences. I bought 4 Nexen N'Blue 4 Season 225 / 50R17, last year. Balance problems from the start. In total 2 times balanced, 2 times optimized. The second optimization took 1.5 hours - that's what I spent on tire service. The gentlemen said: 2 tires are oval, another two "float" sideways. The steering wheel is still shaking at speeds above 60 km / h, at speeds above 90 km / h the whole car is shaking.
Two weeks ago, 2 of the tires are under warranty, today they wrote that they must be sent to an "even more specialized" laboratory and it will take up to 30 days. 2 more tires are waiting. if they do not recognize the warranty on those already shipped, it is a pity. I had to buy two other tires - Goodyear Vector 4season stimulants for half the price of that crap. The car behaves better.
The discussion revolves around the performance and value of Nexen tires, specifically the 225/45 R17 model priced at PLN 270 each. Opinions vary significantly, with some users praising the tires for their grip, quietness, and performance in both dry and wet conditions, while others express concerns about safety, particularly in rainy weather. Several users recommend alternative brands like Bridgestone and Toyo for more intensive driving. The Nexen N3000 and N6000 models receive mixed reviews, with some users reporting satisfactory experiences over thousands of kilometers, while others criticize specific models like the N2000 for poor performance in wet conditions. Overall, the consensus suggests that while Nexen tires offer good value, their suitability may depend on driving style and conditions. Summary generated by the language model.
