I do not know what to do.
I reinstalled the system and nothing helped and I do not want to format the disk because it is too much work. My system is XP

What does lost mean? What program is she not on. What font are you using (Arial, Times etc). Answer these questions and we'll be able to help you.
For now: ą you get by pressing left ALT on the keyboard and 165 on the numeric keyboard (right), Capital letter A - ALT + 164 :)

I lost it, that is, if I want to do this letter as standard with shift, nothing appears literally as if the key does not work but it works because I am writing this text.
And with this numeric keypad it actually works, but how to restore it to work with shift (it does not work in GG or in the Windos notebook anywhere).

Still not answering basic questions. What Windows do you have, what font do you use in the notebook (Arial, Times or other) and finally: Set your keyboard to Programmer's Polish and then to type ą, press the right "ALT" + the letter "a".
You make the settings by right-clicking on the icon: "Letters PL on a blue background"> Settings and there you choose the Polish Programmer

With this shift it was supposed to be a mistake with ALT
I have Windows XP and in the notebook I use arial and the language is set to Polish programmer but it does not help

In Notepad, select FORMAT> FONT then change the font, eg to Times New Roman, below in the SCRIPT field the setting should be Central Europe. Give it a try.
If another font is also without "ą", then check the system for viruses, Trojans, eg with CWShredder and Spyware - with Ad-Aware. Delete anything that these programs find.

The tilde does not work for me, the only thing that works is the left alt + 165 on the numeric keypad - changing to the font you gave in the file did not help either.
In my opinion, it must be the fault of the XP itself.
Maybe someone else has any ideas ??

Use the On-Screen Keyboard to check:
To open On-Screen Keyboard, click Start, point to All Programs, point to Accessories, point to Ease of Access, and then click On-Screen Keyboard.
A window will appear in which you will see the keyboard. Press the right ALT and see where the letter "ą" appears, if it ever appears.
    Write down how it went.
If you see "ą" in its place, use, for example, Startup Run to see what loads when the system boots.

I bet on some applet that took over the angle of the roll over the right alt (i.e. ctrl + left alt) and a

Take a look at what programs reside in memory, turn off those you are not sure one by one and check if "the right alt ia starts

Well, yes: I do not have an Intel disc (jade on Duron 1.2 GHz Epox 8rdae) on the screen keyboard after pressing the right alt, the letter "ą" is in its place (it pisses me off by pressing the left alt and 165) and in the attachment I send the list my programs which load on startup.
    Maybe it will help someone

You have some of this. I can't see the registry keys, so the image may be incomplete, but there's no other option but to:
    1) Disable Tweak RAM
    2) Disable Download Accelerator
    3) Everything related to NVidia
    4) Taskba Utility from the printer
    5) disconnect from the internet and turn off Norton Internet Security.
Only then (after restarting the system) try to "find" the letter "ą"
You are using Oxygen, so be sure to check CWShredderem and Ad-Aware.

    IT IS - IT WORKED
Thanks . If it hadn't been for your idea, I would never have thought of it.
Turns out he was guilty of the TweakRam program. After turning it off (uninstalling) everything returned to normal.
Thanks again to everyone for your help.

Topic summary

A user reported an issue with the missing Polish letter "ą" on Windows XP, stating that while other Polish characters functioned correctly, this specific letter could not be typed using standard keyboard shortcuts. Various suggestions were provided, including using ALT codes (ALT + 165), checking keyboard settings, and changing fonts in Notepad to Times New Roman with Central European script. The user confirmed that the letter appeared when using the On-Screen Keyboard but not with standard typing methods. After troubleshooting, it was discovered that the TweakRAM program was interfering with the keyboard functionality, and uninstalling it resolved the issue, restoring the ability to type "ą" normally.
