    Hello

As in the topic, after unfolding the "pedal" to clean the contact plate, it turned out that I do not know how to put it back together
:) . I mean mainly this plate and the pressure spring. Can any of you upload a photo of a properly assembled regulator or advise on how to do it? After my attempts, the "pedal" either does not work at all or works immediately after plugging in the plug.

You put the lower part on correctly, maybe you make a mistake in the upper cover.
Don't put a spring on that long pucket in front of it on that little protrusion.

One end of the spring is to rest against the plate that compresses the carbon plates, and the other side against this "tit" in the pedal. You must also remember that this hook, riveted to the pedal, must catch on the base so that the whole thing does not open. Finally, you drive in the pedal axle and secure it with a screw. However, if you have bent any lugs, expect that you will have to disassemble the pedal several times.
And by the way, it would be best to dismiss this archaic and make a regulator on the electronics. There is only a matter of making the mechanical part, but there would probably be a ready pedal with a potentiometer and a limit switch.

I do everything as it should, but the pedal is still not working properly. Or maybe the spring should be in this place?

because if it is mounted as in the photo below, the spring bends the plate to the other side (towards the housing instead of pressing it against the carbon pins).

And one more question, do you have to be careful while folding that the long pin "jumps" before or behind the part of the plate indicated by the arrow?

buddy, you have to screw this spring into the protruding part a little, as your colleague told you in this drawing, because if the spring is in the middle between these elements, you will have a problem then you gently put on the top of the smaller round protruding element behind the long spring and gently press the upper part with feeling part to the bottom until the rear metal hook of the top hooks to the bottom of the foot, the so-called upward movement limiter and then gently aim the holes and insert the security wire into the holes and check it with a screw the end if I have not described something clearly, call the scissor on the glove I have a webcam then you will see it on live what and how

you put the spring in the lower part of the regulator correctly in the first photo. what's up:
the spring should enter the round, short stub, and the long one should be between the spring and the metal plate indicated by the red arrow. You start the correct assembly by hooking the upper part of the regulator (metal catch) to the lower one in such a way that both internal surfaces in contact with the spring are parallel. if you do this, you only direct the holes of the regulator rotation axis towards you, insert the axis and secure it with a screw.

the spring tilts the pedal and at the same time deflects the plates pushing them so that they do not press against the carbon resistors, the pin at the top of the pedal is to push the plates against the resistor, i.e. it counteracts the spring, it is an arcuate slide on which the center of the plate slides, you can see a slippery area in the photo where this slide worked (located in the moving part of the pedal), there is no photo, so I described it this way

This spring must make contact with the clamping plate

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the assembly of the speed regulator (U-118/1) in the Łucznik sewing machine, specifically focusing on the correct placement of the pressure spring and contact plate after cleaning. Users provide detailed instructions on how to properly position the spring and ensure the pedal functions correctly. Key points include ensuring the spring is correctly oriented to press against the carbon plates, securing the pedal axle, and checking for proper alignment of components during assembly. Some participants suggest considering an electronic regulator as a modern alternative.
