    Hello
When I connect an FM transmitter in the car and set the radio to the appropriate frequency, I hear music. Reception is good, no noise, interference, etc.
Unfortunately, after a few seconds the radio skips to the next FM station and I can`t stop it. (The radio is Sony CDX-L480X. The transmitter is "no name").

When I try other frequencies (the transmitter allows me to set any), the reception is also good, but the radio switches anyway.

    a) I have disabled the function LOCAL (SENS/BTM button), which is to enable searching for only strong stations.
    b) The function is also suspect AF (substitute frequencies), which "allows the radio to select the transmitter that will provide the strongest signal for the station being listened to"
    c) The AF function also has the ability to "listen to a program for one region ( REG ) (...) thanks to which another regional station with a stronger signal will not be switched on"
Despite this knowledge and turning it off, the radio still switches to the frequency I set. What to do?

Use your knowledge. Just turn these features off.

    Thanks @lpm11. I needed this advice. ;-)

What if the hint was more precise? Which feature of Sony head units could cause this? I turned off all of the above (or at least I think so), and the radio still doesn`t hold this station, even though it plays music.

Your radio is set to automatically tune to stations.
Read the user manual and turn off anything that bothers you.

Even before asking the question, I looked through the manual many times and no attempt at it solved the problem. Only pressing blindly led to the solution. It was the "AF" function.
