Does anyone know of such a smart home system?

    G&Home Onninen

They advertise themselves as the cheapest smart home system on the market.

It is indeed very cheap, but how does this system actually work?

Has anyone seen this system in action yet?

What do you think of this solution? The manufacturer is reportedly F&F from Pabianice, but Onninen has exclusive distribution rights.

The company claims it already has over 100 installations of this system in Poland
and not a single one on the elektroda forum :D

I’ve had some experience with this and, to be honest, F&Home is, above all, a simple solution for people who want to use a central control panel and a mobile phone to control functions that make sense to control, i.e. lighting, external blinds, heating or garden sprinklers. Generally speaking, you can control anything that operates on an on/off basis, so you can also connect ventilation systems and the like to it. Some people think that this LCD panel is a bit clunky in terms of graphics, but if I’m going to spend three times as much for colourful icons, it doesn’t really make sense. I met an installer who carries out these projects, and he says that, from his point of view, it’s a simple system to install. Because he can do everything himself from start to finish. When I read other reviews and comparisons of this system with others, I was blown away by the things people want to control. They don’t realise that they’re letting their imaginations run wild, which could actually end up costing a lot. And to be honest, the point is for a smart home to take some of the work off our hands. To switch on the lawn sprinkler at the right time and switch it off whilst we’re away, save a bit of energy by regulating the temperature in individual rooms, or switch off all unnecessary appliances throughout the house when we leave – all at the touch of a button. And from what I’ve seen, F&Home can do all that, for 10,000 rather than the 30,000 I was quoted. Unfortunately, I’ve already had the wiring installed, but I don’t think this system was even on the market three years ago.

I found an F&F system being installed by ARTA:

Of course, the system you’ve suggested is better, but can you afford it?
And what savings do you actually make from being able to switch the lights on and off from a single point or app?
Art’s solution quite simply controls central heating based on a heat pump and domestic hot water, thereby reducing energy consumption. For the price of an F&F controller, a few relays and an app, you can control the above-mentioned components (max. 10,000 PLN). The system you’ve shown costs at least 100,000 PLN in its most basic version, and apart from being a gimmick, it won’t prove useful in the long run.

Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you – no smart home system will pay for itself. A smart building – be it a home or an office – will, and very quickly at that.
The system shown in the video does what a standard controller has been doing for 20 years.
By claiming that the system shown in the video costs at least 100,000 zł, you’ve shown that you haven’t got the faintest idea about smart buildings/homes and the prices of such systems.

It’s a good thing you know all about prices:
    Here’s a simple software example:

    Control panel:
    http://www.ebay.de/itm/Hager-TJ060B-KNX-Touch...=SPS_Bus_Logiksysteme&hash=item3a6b8842ab
The licence alone for a few devices costs at least 100 euros.
The design, cables and installation of the whole thing as shown in the video...
If you simply sell these, why not provide a sample quote for such a project and prove how wrong I am?
I don’t like the fact that you’re comparing completely different systems.
I don’t particularly want to defend the Arty system, but the F&F controller costs significantly less than some simple slave modules in KNX, and that’s precisely the basis of my opinion of it.

I don’t think Onninen is the only distributor of F&Home. I’ve also seen this system on offer from TIM SA.

    Hello,
I’m actually looking for some good solutions myself. My last client wanted something better than just switching things on and off, but due to a lack of time – as is often the case on a building site – I installed an EIB/KNX-based system, as there were no budget constraints. He wanted it, so he got it. I’m looking into this further and am increasingly leaning towards the solution at http://controlyourhouse.pl or Link . The controller is absolutely brilliant. Unlimited bus channels. Communication is top-notch. The software is always up to date online. It’s just that all the training places for this year are already taken. But I reckon you can do more with TECOMAT than just switching and visualisation, especially when it comes to that ‘intelligence’, because just flicking relays is a thing of the past. It seems to me that if you’re also on the lookout, it’s worth taking a look at something new. I was intrigued by the SMART Mirror solution Link . A cool gadget.
