Hello! I have a playstation 3 console, it doesn`t display the image, it turns on normally, the diode is green, but it doesn`t display anything, there is no sound. It resets normally by holding the power button, but after turning it on, the green diode is still lit and there is no image. I took out the disk and the same thing. it starts with no image. When I connect the disk to the PC via the USB port, it detects the disk, but does not see the partition. Please advise, best regards

Hello, you need to improve the connections of the balls under the CPU and GPU processors :)

I will not agree. I had an identical case. The console turned on normally, green diode, no video/sound, and it did not detect the pad. After inserting the disk, the blue LED was normal and nothing happened. Recovery menu and Restore PS3 system helped. Nothing more.

How to do this recovery menu

Added after 1 [hours] 19 [minutes]:

I do as below, I hear the beeping twice but the menu does not appear, there is no image. It does not display anything.

    1. Turn off your PlayStation 3.
    2. Hold down the power button; The system will turn on and off again.
    3. Once the system has shut down, press the power button again until you hear 2 more beeps.
    4. When you hear two beeps, remove your finger from the power button.
    5. You will be asked to connect the controller via USB, then press the PS button.
    6. The Recovery Menu will appear.

What can you do in such a recovery menu (I`m still a novice) because I`m expanding my knowledge about PS3

Was the console used and the described problem appeared suddenly (after turning it off), or did you buy the console and it starts this way?

How did you connect the console to the TV?

In PS3, the console is often configured to display the image via e.g. HDMI and 1080 - if your TV does not support the display configuration set in the console (assuming that the console is a new purchase and it has never worked properly in this console-TV configuration before) , this is exactly the effect (no image) that will occur. To restore the default settings (the ones the console has right after purchase), just turn on the console and then hold the Power button for 5 seconds - the console should emit 2 beeps and it will restart. After this an image should appear.

As for the disk - the partition from the PS3 console is not seen by Windows. Without the disk, the console should also start (there will be an image on the TV), but a message will appear stating that the system cannot be started.

Sorry to refresh the topic, but I have a similar problem:
    Hello.
I bought a console that crashed when updating the software, reaching about 70% and giving the error 802F14E every time. I formatted the entire disk after the PC, which led to the complete inability to use the console. When I turn it on I just get a black screen and 30 seconds later the console turns off. There are no yellow lights, this is not YLOD. I thought it might be the hard drive`s fault, but I borrowed another working one and it`s still the same. We manage to reach the so-called Recovery Menu, but no option can restore the console system. selecting any option causes the console to reload and consequently to turn off because when it turns on, as above, it turns off after 30 seconds. When trying to upload new software from the recovery menu, "checking takes a very long time" until no appropriate files can be found, even though the update file is located in a properly formatted pen in the appropriate /PS3/UPDATE directories.

I managed to determine that the bluray is damaged (it accepts discs and returns them without hesitation). and I have a question: is it possible to bypass the need for flash bluray during the update? maybe someone has encountered a solution to a similar problem.

I would like to ask for some information on how to deal with this.

Not only is the Blu-ray drive damaged, but it may not come from this console. Given that the PS3`s drive electronics are paired to the motherboard, the chances of fixing this fault are slim. One possible way to make sure that the drive is original for this console is to repair the Blu-ray drive disc, but this is not an easy task.

thanks very much for your reply. Can you tell me how to repair such a board? I used to solder BGA a lot, so in terms of skills I should be able to handle it. Only lack of knowledge ;)

The main suspects are the CXA2720R and/or CXD5063GG-1 on the drive motherboard. Most likely, it will be necessary to resolder these systems from another drive, e.g. with a faulty laser module. This is quite difficult and time-consuming (I assume you have the appropriate sieves - universal ones at worst). Due to the fact that, according to current information, it is not possible to clone the drive firmware today, this is probably the only way to repair this fault. PS3 service documentation (including the Blu-ray reader itself) is available for download on the Internet - search.

Thank you very much for your interest

ok, I don`t know how I managed it, but after taking it apart and putting it back together, the console updated to 3.56, unfortunately. ;) And it works.
works except for the drive which behaves as follows:
It pulls in the disc, spins it because after removing the disc it is turned the other way, but unfortunately it does not read any type of disc.
The blue LED is on and blinks when you pull it out, but neither the game nor the movie or audio is recognized. Even though the disc is inserted, the console does not respond.
I know that the drive is definitely damaged. but the whole drive or just the laser?

Thank you in advance for your suggestions and any help!

The best way to determine whether the entire drive or just the laser is to replace it is with new optics.
And the fact that it has been updated does not prevent us from making jb or CFW :D :D
