    Hello

I have a simple question, what is the difference between LR14 and R14 batteries? Can R14 be used instead of LR14 (they have the same voltage of 1.5V)?

    Thank you greetings.

Cell battery - a set of two or more individual electric cells.
The common construction standards for electric cell batteries and single cells are presented in the table. The designations of their types are given - American commercial (USA), International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) and American Institute of Standardization - American National Standards Institute (ANSI), as well as others, also found in Poland.
The most popular standards in Poland were distinguished.
    IEC markings:
    ■first letter - production technology:
    ■(none) - zinc-manganese cell
    ■L - alkaline-brownstone cell
    ■C - lithium cell
    ■S - silver link
■H - mercury cell (no longer seen)
    ■second letter - cell shape
    ■R - cylindrical link
    ■F - cuboid link

    they can be used interchangeably

Since LR14 batteries are recommended, the device probably has a high power consumption (e.g. camera flash). Zinc-manganese batteries, much cheaper, may, however, operate for such a short time that replacement may not be profitable. However, cheap zinc-manganese batteries can be successfully used in clocks or remote controls.
