Gentlemen, what are the differences between these two connectors ??
One is named in catalogs as a series candlestick and the other as a group one. Sometimes there is one of them in the catalog, and sometimes both. What are the differences between them.

The chandelier switch has 1 power point which separates it into 2 circuits controlled by separate buttons, and the group switch is in other words several independent switches in one common housing (each has a separate set of connection terminals). You can make a candlestick out of a group connector - the other way around.

Okay, and how does this symbol relate to a colleague?

1- If I remember correctly from my school days (I'm not sure), this is the hotel link. It operated on the principle that it was connected to two groups of lamps. Only one group could be enabled. Never two at once.

With the candlestick switch you switch on circuit A or B as well as A and B
With the group (hotel) switch, you connect only A circuit or only B circuit
With the double-pole switch you switch on circuits A and B simultaneously

    I think I explained it understandably :)

And what would a 4 button candlestick switch look like? Because I have some associations :) .

Topic summary

The discussion focuses on the differences between series candlestick switches and group switches in electrical connectors. A series candlestick switch allows control of two circuits (A and B) with the option to activate both simultaneously, while a group switch operates independently, enabling only one circuit at a time. The candlestick switch can be created from a group switch, but not vice versa. The conversation also touches on the concept of a hotel link, which connects two groups of lamps, allowing only one group to be powered at any given time.
