    Hello and welcome!

I have a problem with connecting the system: 2 double Schneider stair switches + 2 light sources that are to be turned on and off independently from each switch.

There was such a beautiful "diagram" in the package of the stair switch:

Schneider Sedna - Schneider double staircase - 2 light sources

Although I am a total layman, I have made 2 such systems in my life (with switches from another manufacturer), but here I have a problem. Unable to understand this scheme, I asked the manufacturer for help, and the following scheme was sent to me by e-mail (different from the one in the package, by the way):

Schneider Sedna - Schneider double staircase - 2 light sources

Unfortunately, neither of the two variants gives any effect. Nothing lights up, nothing works.
By deduction, I used the most popular scheme of such an installation in google (I also used it with previously assembled systems) and adapted it to the specific arrangement of plugs in the Schneider switch. It looks like:

Schneider Sedna - Schneider double staircase - 2 light sources

We're almost successful! But not everything works properly and here I am asking for help:

I can control the light source in one switch, turn it off, turn it on, but the second one only starts to function when the light source is on. Then with the second switch I can turn off this light source, turn it on again, but now the first switch is inactive when the bulb is turned off.
In other words: a switch can take control of the light source from the other switch only when the light source is lit. And so it is both ways. It is not possible to turn off the light with one switch and then turn it on with the other. The second switch must "wait its chance" until the light is turned on ;)

Please help, any hint, what am I missing here, what have I mixed up?

    Regards

    Arek

    Hello
The first diagram is for 3 switches, the second one is drawn wrong and the third one is messed up by a friend, it should be like this:
1 switch, you give the phase to 5i6 and connect to the second 1-1 2-2,3-3,4-4 on the second 5 for one bulb 6 for the second bulb of the bulb to zero and that's it.
    Regards

Hi, I think it's supposed to look like this.

A colleague mixed up the connections to the stair connector terminals. A colleague described it correctly goodie1 . And I'm posting a diagram found on the Internet and slightly modified for easier use.
And do not forget about the mandatory protective conductor (PE), which even the manufacturer Schneider Electric forgot to include in its professional diagram. It is to be connected to a properly marked terminal of luminaires made in protection class I or left loose next to luminaires made in class II.

Is it possible to add another double staircase to this scheme?

You can wear a double cross.

Not better bistable - instead of "a pile of wires"

It's easier to buy a cross and add cables than bistable + bell ;) . However, I love doing stair installations on bells ;)

Isn't it better to put "light" buttons instead of "bell"?
    Why make noise?

Okay, so we have two double stair switches and two light sources, each button in a given switch can control a different bulb.
I would also like a switch to turn both bulbs on and off
I'll try to draw a schematic when I'm at my computer

The easiest and best way to give bistable is in a can ;)
Then you can give as many connectors as you want.

Well, as he mentioned edu add to the system (two cross / double cross) or convert the whole into two bistable.

    Thus,
    two independent light sources
    three double switches
    1, 2, 3 turns X on and off
1A, 2A, 3A turns Y on and off Schneider Sedna - Schneider double staircase - 2 light sources

    how to connect?

You need two bistable relays and 3 double bell switches (momentary).

    "Lopathologically" Stair + cross

Schneider Sedna - Schneider double staircase - 2 light sources

Bistable, I used a double bistable F&F BIS-416 and three double buttons.

Some people will probably be bothered that the diagrams are in Paint and not in the profi program, but I had no other at hand and for a layman I think it's clearer to read ;)

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the installation of Schneider Sedna double staircase switches to control two independent light sources. The user encountered difficulties in connecting the system, referencing two diagrams provided by the manufacturer, which were found to be unclear or incorrect. Various participants offered alternative wiring diagrams and solutions, emphasizing the importance of including a protective conductor (PE) in the installation. Suggestions included using bistable relays and cross switches to achieve the desired functionality, with some users sharing their own diagrams for clarity. The conversation also touched on the possibility of expanding the system with additional switches and the preference for using light buttons over bell buttons.
