I’m not sure if I’m posting in the right section; if not, I apologise and would ask the moderator to move my post to the appropriate section.
I’ve been interested in EIB/KNX smart systems for quite some time, and I’ve been toying with the idea of setting up a design and installation firm specialising in this field. However, I’m not entirely sure how the legal side of things works, or where I should start to set up such a firm. Could someone please let me know what qualifications (certificates) I would need to run such a business, and are there perhaps any grants (financial support) available for this type of venture? I’m thinking of running an office that handles everything, i.e. first talking to the client to find out exactly what they need, then producing a bespoke design for that client, and finally installing and carrying out the work on site. Additionally, I would like to carry out traditional electrical installations, home automation (entrance gates, garage doors, roller shutters), alarms, CCTV, sound systems, etc. I would be very grateful for any specific information.
