Hello.
I have a problem with updating my nbox recorder (model: ITI-5720SX)
namely, after turning on the power supply, the following messages appear on the display:
testing -> dL -> 0% -> TUN2 -> DNL3 -> 0% -> DNL17 -> testing and restart the decoder.

Everything seems normal on the TV.
The dL LOADER responsible for upgrading the firmware starts up, after a while I get disturbing messages about which I have no idea:

DOWNLOAD HEADER NOT FOUND
COLLECTING SECTIONS FILED
TUNER LOCKING
TUNER LOCK FAIL

These messages are not in the order I gave, only during the whole procedure they occur and the decoder is restarted.

I will add that the nbox had a damaged HDD. It behaves the same with the new disk and without the disk.

Decoder reset, i.e.: [EPG] + [REC] + [arrow up] hold for 15s,
does not help
Please help.

I did not call APS because the decoder was opened as I wrote above and someone damaged the HDD.

I found out today from a friend with an n-ki decoder to activate (not to be confused with a software update) needs a range of about 60%. I have about 37%
Is it true? and can this be the source of my problem with the decoder not being able to download the software?

If you don't have an efficient SAT installation, you won't be able to do anything. And if you update the software in a damaged decoder, I also doubt it, although only HDD. And remember about the costs because you have to return the decoder and they are not small.

Today, the tuner has been connected to the sat installation with very good range and quality. Unfortunately, it failed to update. Still the same problem :(

I think I can confidently say:

It is not possible to update / upload the software because the nbox recorder does not have its original hdd (it has been damaged). The drive is secured with ATA security in MAX mode. So you can neither read it nor write anything to it in the PC. It seems that the decoder is turbo, which during the test does not recognize its hard disk and enters the TUNER LOCKING procedure.
I will not translate the disk from another decoder, because as I read, there is a penalty of PLN 1,000 for breaking the seal. zlotys and there are no such discs on Allegro.
If it is a CLRA series decoder, the decoder will not start without the disk installed.

Interruption of the upgrade operation in the download phase of the software file does not result in anything special. Only in the recording phase of the fully received software, turning off the power will cause the nbox to remain without the main software. This is your case.
Then the "Loader" (in a separate flash memory) finds the lack and starts an attempt to download from the satellite, and then to save the software, which in effect restores the full efficiency of the decoder.

If the nbox receives a poor quality antenna signal, the software download fails (due to reception errors). Then it is necessary to disconnect the power supply and switch it on again (sometimes several times). This is a source of faults.

First, improve the quality of the antenna signal!
The drive must be identical to the factory-installed drive in terms of capacity and manufacturer.

Who told you to rummage through the equipment? Now just look for a good APS point so that they "do not notice" the broken seal. Or pay...

Did I understand correctly that you put another drive into this nbox? And what about him? with this disc? Wasn't it password protected by nbox? Can you still use it on PC?
