Welcome
At the outset, please be understanding in using my terminology.
I'm just getting to know nBox and the entire Enigma 2.
And it happened. You wanted baba pie, you've got it
.
After a dozen or so days of fairly decent operation of the new tuner purchased from a popular auction site, the tuner began to crash. It's probably my fault, because I wanted to set the channel list for myself, etc. So I was uploading the lists manually via DreamEdit and Total Commander, until one day, when I got up in the morning, the tuner only made a sound and the image was gone.
The so-called "Black Image". By streaming via iPad and the app EnigmaHD I could see that the tuner is generally working and all that is required is to set the appropriate settings. The problem turned out to be the switch for some reasons of the type of picture output on the TV, ie from "HDMI 1080i" to "Scart". These devices are physically connected via the HDMI cable.
The first time I was able to solve this problem quite quickly using the methods described on the network, but the next day the problem reappeared and unfortunately these methods did not work anymore.
I mean deleting unnecessary files from the "hdd" directory, I also used the "Full Restore" option that was then available in the menu from the remote control.
I also noticed that the tuner resets itself every night, and as a start program it chose the Radio channel, e.g. RMFFM., But this is probably typical for this tuner.
Originally, the tuner started off with U-Boot 1.3.1.053 next NAND / Load and then it crashes completely when displaying the wallpaper "Enigma 2" .
Yesterday I sat down with him and started to do more trying to upload everything from scratch, starting with "u-Boot". At the moment, it pops up at startup - = * [B4Team] * = - and then a choice between USB Update or Custom Boot 1 . After that, everything is still there. I tried to upload an environmental file generated from "saveenv_120311.exe" but I guess I didn't quite succeed. Yesterday it was better because the tuner started to break "NAND" today, however, it is worse. I dare say that this environment file is not working properly.
I will also say that I tried holding the button POWER when turning on the tuner to use the function THRESHOLD tuner framing, but at the moment nothing is happening, i.e. I do not have this option available.
I used the tips posted here. Link to the PKTeam website
Currently, I cannot access the tuner files either via Total Commander or Putty. Despite a directly connected network cable, the tuner cannot be seen in the local network.
I am sorry to ask you about it, but I am asking for help because I cannot cope with this matter.
I've read a lot of threads in various forums, and I don't really get it all. I am not afraid of challenges and I do not expect everything to be served on a tray, but I still need a few tips. Mainly in what order it would be necessary to act in order to e.g. identify a fault and then fix it.
In some posts, people write about the whole "u-boot" crashing (I hope I describe it well) and some combination with closing the jumpers, etc. is required. It is here that I do not know if this applies to my problem.
I live in Ireland, so unfortunately I will not send back the equipment because it does not calculate, as I wrote, I have ambitions to fix it myself, because I have general computer knowledge, unfortunately not too much when it comes to Linux.
Please help. Can anyone, based on my description, tell what is really going on with my tuner? Does it just require re-uploading the entire u-boat / software (enigma2)? What is the correct sequence of action then?
Will it be required to open the case and combine with these jumpers?
Thank you in advance for any help
