    Bistable - 2 stable states (e.g. as for light in a room), monostable - 1 stable state (e.g. bell) :)

    Exactly. The monostable switch conducts when it is pressed, and the bistabily switch conducts from the moment of the first switch to the momet of the second switch on. Troche stupidly wrote it, but I think it will not work otherwise. :D
