There may be overprints on the components that allow you to evaluate something.

As for the "mileage" of the computer, you can check the number of hours worked by the disk (as long as it was the same all the time from the beginning).

The age of the computer can be determined after the year of production of the northern motherboard chipset, because the current chipset on the market is mounted to the board, so if the chipset is from 2006, the year of production of the motherboard should also be the same. When we bought everything new, the disc also, if the chipset on the disc is from 2006, the whole computer was probably bought in 2006.

Just check in which years all components were produced, the youngest one will give you the answer.

Please forgive me for the lack of Polish characters, but I use a computer with Dutch windows for which there was a fight and for which I received a warning a few days ago.

Branded - yes (as a rule), folding - no (the best thing to do is to say that it is not older than ...).
Of course, all assuming that "computer" is defined in a logically consistent manner.

    Hello
Why bother so much, you'd better find a warranty card, and the date is there.

Forget these hints ... and how do you know that he has a warranty card? I guess if he had her, he would have seen it.

On the motherboard (which was least often mentioned) you have a motherboard model on the laminate and underneath it with small letters "rev 1.03" - for example, and in "google" enter the manufacturer's brand, model along with the version and add "production date" or "date" and check the oldest entries. Rather the simplest solution.

As long as the motherboard in the computer is the same that was installed at the beginning - when you buy it ... This is also the case with each component. The age of the computer can be determined only if it is a company computer or if there are any "papers" on it.

Thanks for the answers, the bios date is 99 or 98 (I don't remember exactly) so the computer is probably quite a bit old: p

Topic summary

To determine a computer's age, users can check various components for production dates. Key methods include examining the BIOS date, which can indicate the computer's age, and checking the motherboard's chipset production year. The chipset's date often reflects the overall age of the system. Additionally, users can look for overprints on components, check the number of hours the disk has been used, or find the warranty card for the purchase date. If the motherboard and components are original, their production dates will provide a reliable estimate of the computer's age.
