    Hello. Mainly, my point is whether sanitary silicone is suitable for heating (smoke) connections of fireplaces and stoves.
    On such sanitary silicone it says that its strength is up to 100-150'C~,
    engine 350'C~, boiler 950'C~
    Isn't it so that silicones differ only in color, generally in Wikipedia they write that silicone is not flammable?
    I have a lot of sanitary silicone so I don't want to buy red silicone :D

    Silicone is flammable - recently, out of curiosity, I threw a tube with dried silicone into the oven (about 20% left) it was fire and black smoke as if the tire was on fire. It was plain white sanitary silicone.
    What exactly do you want to silicone? If close to the fire source, it seems to me that a more engine or other heat-resistant one would be suitable for such applications.

    Buy more expensive, but designed to work at high temperatures. Sanitary will melt and run or catch fire.
