Hello! I'm green with this topic and my power supply has broken. I am looking for a new one with the same parameters as in the picture. I am asking for guidance on how to choose it correctly and how much can it cost?

AC power supply, twelve volts, half ampere.

Now watch out - the firecracker is coming!

PRI - Primary, primary winding (voltage) of the transformer (voltage that enters the power supply)
SEC - Secondary, secondary winding (voltage) (voltage that comes out of the power supply)

AC - Alternating Current, because if it were:
    DC - Direct Current

    :) Regards.

    Power: 6W
    Input voltage: 230V
Output voltage: AC 12V with a load capacity of 0.5A

    well explained now!
    Thank you very much!

And yes, OT, does a colleague sometimes need this power supply for some audio mixer?

exactly ;) reloop acces 3. my old power supply is dead, so you need to buy a new one.
How did you know it? ^^

Because AC power supplies are rarely used, and you have the note Dj, so I immediately thought that ...
In DJ mixers with external power supply, AC power supplies are used, because only 2 wires come from the power supply to the mixer, even though the mixer needs double power (symmetrical), in such a case, a voltage doubler with stabilization etc. is made in the mixer, etc., long to tell ;)

I used to play. I also made and repaired a lot of mixers, now I only maintain (after some cultural centers, etc.)

    ;)

Do you know how much such a power supply can cost? What if I connected a DC power supply? The mixer wouldn't come on? would something happen?

Nothing bad will happen, but it will definitely not work.
Maybe the level indicator will fire, but nothing else.
The cost of such a power supply is about PLN 10 MAX, of course, it depends where, because if you have one EL store for the whole city, a halogen bulb can cost 2 dozen.

I see. You helped me a lot. One more question:

"Good morning. AC adapter, please (it is otherwise called -pulse?) 12v / 0.5A?"

these 50Hz and 6W does not matter?
    0.5A is 500mA? :D

there was supposed to be one question xD

Not impulse, your power supply is basically a 12 volt transformer in a box. Just like in halogen desk lamps, only smaller.

50 Hz is the mains voltage frequency, Poland, Europe and most of the world use this value (Americans, for example, use a different one, 60 Hz).

6 W is the power that results from the parameters: 12 V times 0.5 A.

    0.5A is 500mA.

Hello! Sorry to refresh, but I don't want to create a new tem. on a similar topic. Whereas:

I am looking for a power supply with the same parameters. Today I ran around the city and nothing! the visitor had this "interior" and asked me to make myself ...

I'm looking for Allegro. can you help me?
I found this: will it be suitable?
    http://allegro.pl/zasilacz-stabilizowany-12v-500ma-f-v-led-i2025299326.html

? if necessary, please give me some suggestions
    http://allegro.pl/listing.php/search?string=12v+500mA&category=76371

PS what would happen if I gave more amps? yes to 1.2?

If the mixer is not damaged, then nothing. The mixer will take as much "A" as it needs.
It seems to me that your mixer is OK, and the power supply burned down because it was bad and connected to the mains for a long time.
About March last year, I bought three sets of AKG WMS450 wireless microphones, all sets had an impulse power supply, 16 hours a day were under voltage, after 0.5 years 2 power supplies from 3 were lost.

Only buy an AC power adapter.

I got a power supply Universal AC / DC Lexton Lx g54 power supply.
I don't know, I'm afraid to connect, will it be good?

This one is not suitable. This is a DC power supply (labeled DC or "=", eg "output: 12V ="). You need an AC adapter (marked as AC or "~", eg "output: 12V ~").

On Allegro you will find companies selling such power supplies.

in that case, I would ask you for at least one of them. I will be eternally grateful because I cannot find them.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting a replacement AC power supply for a broken unit, specifically one that outputs 12V at 0.5A. Participants clarify the specifications, including the importance of using an AC power supply for devices like audio mixers, and the implications of using a DC supply instead. Cost estimates for suitable power supplies are provided, with suggestions to check local stores and online platforms like Allegro. The conversation also touches on the compatibility of power supplies with different amperage ratings, confirming that devices will only draw the current they need.
