I have such a dilemma, I recently got a 2nd monitor and I am happy back to the house with the cable and here I would need a 2nd adapter because I have an older monitor or a graphics card and the input does not fit. And the question is whether one monitor can be connected so that it bangs :) to the graphics card and 2nd to the input from the motherboard motherboard.

You can, but it depends on the operating system and the cards you have (both built-in and in the slot).

Define more precisely what outputs you have in the computer at the card and what socket is in the monitor. I suspect that the D-SUB monitor and the card only have DVI. In this case, you just need to buy an adapter. Available in every computer store for pennies.
If you connect one to the card and the other to the motherboard, it will not work. Something like this might work on Hybrid SLI motherboards, but I won't cut my head either.

Yes, both monitors are under D-SUB, I have 2 DVI inputs in the grille. Only that I am just coming back from an IT store which is an hour away both ways and somehow I don't feel like going today. But I understand that it is impossible to turn on this input from the motherboard somehow in the bios?

    As you can see:
    MB Brand: Gigabyte
    MB Model: G31M-ES2L
    NB: Intel P35 / G33 / G31 rev 10
    SB: Intel 82801GB (ICH7 / R) rev A1

So you have Intel integrated graphics.

So if speedy9 looks, I should find out if I can do something with it without an adapter.

Enter the BIOS and in "Advanced BIOS Features" set "Onboard VGA" to "Always Enable".
Fire up Windows and install the driver (it can install itself). If you don't get the message that Windows has disabled the incompatible graphics adapter, then it should be OK. Connect a second monitor and try to set "extended desktop" on 2 monitors in Display Properties.
