    Hello, I have been struggling with a problem with the fan since the morning. Well, in the morning I did a bios restart, restored the default settings and my fan sped up terribly. He spins like crazy and is quite loud. I was looking on the Internet on many portals for answers on how to reduce it, I used a few programs to reduce it, but meatball. My BIOS is: Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG. I am green when it comes to digging in bios, but with the right tips on how to do it, I can do it. Thanks in advance for any help.

    And where to check these temperatures? Previously, the windmill ran slower, sometimes it accelerated, but only for a short time.

    Download the everest home edition program, turn it on, expand the "computer" category and click "sensor" there and get ss.

    I'm going to go into the bios right now and take a picture, then post it here.

    Also include the power supply in the photo? Previously, the turnover was normal, I would like to return to them, there is no need to buy this computer because it is, you can say "szrot"

    Old crap, 4-5 years old ..

    Is the power supply about this cable or is it a box with a fan inside?

    I just mean mute this fan, how to do it. It is so loud that it is impossible to concentrate.

    You wrote, you wrote, but I do not know how to reduce this speed of the windmill. Could you please do that for me so much more? Step by step, because I'm dark when it comes to rummaging, and I must blow the windmill.

    I have just checked my motherboard at any time, it said "unknown". I have already reduced the speed of the fan, but I do not know exactly what these temperatures are for, it was written there.

    On this SS. https://obrazki.elektroda.pl/1898897800_1343324634.jpg

    It's exactly about the Shutdown Temperature. What does that mean anyway?

    That was supposed to be a joke?

    We put large pictures with a thumbnail - the code with the thumbnail should copy itself to the post (at least in my Opera it is like that)

    Windmill -> fan .

    Shutdown Temperature -> temperature limit at which the computer turns off

    The motherboard model is probably painted on the laminate with thick font.

    We're closing for now.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user experiencing excessive CPU fan speed and noise after resetting the BIOS to default settings on a system using Phoenix - AwardBIOS v6.00PG. The user seeks guidance on how to reduce the fan speed. Responses suggest checking the BIOS settings, particularly under PC Health or HW Monitor, to adjust the CPU fan speed settings. Recommendations include changing the CPU FAN Control from "Always ON" to "SMART" and monitoring CPU temperatures using software like Everest Home Edition. Users also advise on the importance of maintaining proper cooling, suggesting the replacement of thermal paste and the addition of case fans to improve airflow. The conversation highlights the need for careful adjustments in BIOS to prevent overheating while managing fan noise.
