I’d like to be able to lock the doors at home remotely. On the computer, we can choose whether the doors are open or closed.
What type of solenoid valve would be best for this?
A solenoid valve with a memory function wouldn’t work in my case because, once I send a signal, the doors remain open until the signal is sent again. This means I can’t keep them locked if I’ve previously set them to ‘open’.
Solenoid valves, for example, whether permanently open or closed, will constantly require power to maintain their opposite state (a significant current will flow through the coil).
Is there a type of solenoid valve that meets my requirements?
I’d also be grateful for suggestions for specific models, though I’d like the price to be as low as possible.
