Hello, I have this problem, I bought Elm327 BT and I have this problem:
The computer sees the ELM without a problem, when the device is paired, I choose without a pin, it installs and the system makes virtual Com ports, in bluetooth devices the device is visible as OBD2 (So everything is ok)

When trying to connect by ScanXL or another program, it gets a message that the Bluetooth device is trying to connect

It's ok and I have to enter the pairing code (although it is already paired and saved)

And here's the problem I tried 0000 1234 5678 7890 and various combinations like that, no effect. Also when reinstalling, I choose the pairing code 1234 or something and the same effect (can't add device due to pairing error)

He also requests a code via the phone or tablet. Anyone have any idea what to do with it, it can somehow be converted to a USB or bypass or crack this Password.
    Please help

You must have the pairing code that came with your device otherwise you are unlikely to bite it.

Well, here is the dog buried, everyone who has elm 327bt says that the code should be 1234, 0000 I also found on the English forum that it may be 5678 I tried different combinations and nothing. My hands are dropping.
I am very surprised that I bought 2 sets for myself and a friend and the same situation with both Elm has someone any idea? In the end, I will send it back as damaged, I only live in the Netherlands and I don't really see it
And the seller hardly says there is no pairing code

Puki, what I am standing still, I will probably not do anything about it and give it to the seller, my friend has from the same Allegrowicz and I connected without a password, it works with the password 1234 from the shot, so I read somewhere with ours that they have bad software in BT and you have to new batch and programming again, but is it worth it? I do not think so! Unless someone advises how to convert it to USB

and how did you gentlemen move? I have a similar problem on xperi p, the interface checked on HTC and tablet works, and the phone pairs with the interface as the same, and the torque will ask the code to pair indefinitely :(

I also had problems with pairing
I suppose I guessed what the problem was

I typed the code thousands of times and nothing but I remembered that in some topic probably from linux that the speed of entering the code matters so

I typed 1234 quickly and it worked
irrespective of energy saving or visibility of the device

I confirm what my previous speaker wrote, a quick entry of the code 1234 will do the trick. On a smartphone, you have to be extremely tense, because the pin must be entered really quickly!

I will connect to the topic. I have a bluetooth ELM327 and I have a problem with pairing devices. The Win 8.1 laptop sees ELM and downloads the driver, but doesn't ask for the pairing code and I can't get a connection.
I would like some advice and suggestions.

This trick works for me on Xperia P, S, Z1. Now I have Xperia Z3 and I can't pair this phone with elm for anything. I type fast, I can copy and paste and it's even faster but it doesn't help. Does anyone have any way to get around this in xperia z3? Alternatively, maybe you could manually edit this pair in android and enter the password there manually? Unfortunately, I was looking for and I can not find a suitable place on the android system.

Colleagues, can it be that I have changed wires in the socket? Well, the car is a mitsubishi lancer cs0 and elm bt in other cars it works and not for me. some AC tester connects and autocom and kts also does not. this is something that only appears to me.
    greetings

Maybe I will add photos of my socket, as well as I ask people who know the subject to comment on what protocol my car supports.

Just turn on bluetooth to make it visible and it connects automatically

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around issues with pairing the ELM327 Bluetooth device with software like ScanXL and OBD2. Commonly suggested pairing codes include 1234, 0000, and 5678, but many users have found these ineffective. Some users have resolved the issue by entering the code quickly or ensuring Bluetooth visibility is enabled.
