    Hello.

I'm a student, I'm going to move in with a friend to an apartment of ~40m².
The apartment has a kitchen, bathroom and two rooms.
The owners assure that in this very apartment the so-called media will not exceed PLN 200 (including gas heating, water and electricity) and PLN 100 during the period when we do not use heating.

Hence my question - Is it possible?

    Regards.

It is 100% possible. There is only one condition:

    - that you won't live there :-)

It depends on whether the apartment is in the middle or in the corner, whether the neighbors are heating or not, what insulation, what installation, whether the boiler is well-chosen. I think that if everything is good, we can talk about PLN 500-600 at least in the winter season.

You calculated a bit much, because a year ago in a 72m² apartment I did not pay that much.

    I already answer:

I have a 40m2 premises exactly 38.59 for company use.
This is my second apartment, but I use it as an office for work.
The building is insulated on the 2nd, top floor located in the middle.
Gas heating, open chamber stove + 3 radiators in rooms and a bathroom ladder.
Heating 24h acc. room programmer 21*C day and 19*C night.
    The two-month fee for gas is PLN 98. After a year, settlement in the form of an underpayment of PLN 482, i.e. 6 x 98 + 482 = 1070 / 12 months = PLN 89.16 per month.

Energy very similar when using a computer, kettle, lighting and server.

So your price is a bit low. With the amount of PLN 300, it would still be possible to believe, but 200 will not :D

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the feasibility of maintaining utility costs at PLN 200 per month for a 40m² apartment, which includes gas heating, water, and electricity. Responses vary, with some asserting that this amount is unrealistic unless the apartment is unoccupied. Others suggest that costs could be significantly higher, especially during winter, estimating around PLN 500-600 depending on factors such as insulation, boiler efficiency, and neighbor heating practices. One participant shared their experience of managing a similar-sized space with gas heating, indicating that even with careful usage, costs would likely exceed PLN 200, suggesting PLN 300 as a more plausible figure.
