    Hello
Please let me know what is the approximate cost of connecting gas to a 34m2 apartment in a block of flats.
Gas is connected to the block, it is only necessary to connect to the apartment from the corridor (in other apartments it is). The gas is to heat the water and the flat. So you need to connect the appropriate pipes, buy a gas stove (not too expensive, but economical and safe), a gas meter and obtain a permit (it's just a formality) to connect gas from the corridor to the apartment. Radiators are already installed.
I am asking competent persons for information on the cost of preparation. Thank you in advance.

If safe, then with a closed combustion chamber, currently only available as condensing, and therefore economical. Prices from around 4,000 zł.
Only is there how to exhaust fumes in the apartment? Is this new construction for individual gas heating, or is it a big slab? If the latter and only a common flue is available without the possibility of building a concentric system, then only the boiler with an open combustion chamber remains - it is cheap, but uneconomical, questionable in terms of safety and will cool the apartment during operation.

The block was commissioned (after construction) in 1988. I don't know if it is a plate, but there was a boiler room in the block that heated water and central heating. After decommissioning the boiler room, some brought gas, and some heat the kitchen with a water jacket. There are chimneys (each apartment has its outlet), so you could install gas heating in some apartments and coal in others. My flat is on the top floor. Thank you for the information and I ask for any additional.

If the apartment has its own chimney duct, which is not shared with other apartments, then you can insert a concentric chimney (pipe in the pipe) into this duct, which will discharge flue gas and bring air to the condensing boiler.
Unfortunately, I can't comment on the gas installation.

After my experience, I think that now the real cost with a boiler is from 10 (very optimistic) to even 20 thousand. up - depending on the complexity.
Chimney sweeps (fixing chimneys and ventilation), designer (building book), if you have a project, gas installers, installing the boiler and chimneys, connecting to the central heating installation.
It is best to choose a company that will generally do everything from paperwork to assembly - it will also give you a preliminary cost estimate. Unless you have a designer with appropriate building qualifications.
For me, the cost of replacing the boiler itself was 5,000. When you choose a boiler with assembly, you have 8% VAT on everything, if you buy the boiler yourself, VAT is 23% + service.

Hello. A lot of variables; how many stories to the roof, what diameter of the chimney, region, financial possibilities. First of all, I suggest checking with your neighbors what boilers they use. A good boiler with an open combustion chamber will also work, and some problems with the chimney duct disappear. In Małopolska, the connection from the meter to the furnace should oscillate around 2000. You need to look for a contractor with the cheapest license.
    I think a total of about 10,000.

It makes no sense to assemble such a boiler the more that they have already been discontinued and now only closed condensing,
    have much better efficiency.

I agree, but they are on the secondary market. If I had to choose without an oven and with an open chamber, of course I will choose the second solution. It all depends on the conditions.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the costs associated with connecting gas to a 34m2 apartment in a block of flats, where gas is already available in the building. Key components include the installation of a gas stove, gas meter, necessary piping, and obtaining a permit. Responses indicate that the total cost can range from approximately 10,000 to 20,000 zł, depending on various factors such as chimney conditions, installation complexity, and regional pricing. Recommendations include using a closed combustion chamber condensing boiler for safety and efficiency, and consulting with neighbors about their boiler choices. The importance of hiring a qualified contractor for installation and paperwork is emphasized.
