AKG K77 – left side very quiet, what should I check?

How can I diagnose and fix a left channel that suddenly became very quiet in AKG K77 headphones?

The most likely fault is a damaged left driver/insert, although the cable and jack should be checked first. One reply suggested bending the cable near the plug and moving it to see if the sound cuts in and out, because headphone cables often break there [#12665763] Another suggested jumpering the selected wires to test the effect; if only one side plays after that, the insert itself is damaged [#12665729][#12665838] If the driver is damaged, the practical options are to look for a replacement part on the forum or contact service for the repair price [#12665868]

Unfortunately, no, even if I had it I would not undress these headphones which is undoubtedly a disadvantage; / .. I will add that I connected them to the M-Audio Fast Track USB interface and after this session somehow the left channel stopped working

All you have to do is check on another device. If they are damaged, it will not work without disassembly.

I just got inside and everything is connected as it should - I think the right earphone is still working and the left is still silence, the fault of the cable?

Now replace either inserts or wires between the right and left channels.

If you do not have soldering equipment, please use the channels to go a step further.

Upload a photo if you do not know which cables to replace

And politely, you bent the cable around the spigot? grab it there, slightly bend it and wrap it so bent in your fingers that when you start creaking, you're in the jack for exchange.

All but all headphones have a tendency to break the cable.

To no avail, I wrapped myself in the whole cable, the earpiece did not speak for a second

Jumper the selected wires and check the effect.

If so, the insert is damaged.

Ask on the forum, maybe some colleagues have such. You can also call the service if it is about the price.
