I once read quite a lot on the internet about the Nest thermostat - that it is easy to use and 'smart' - it learns our behaviour and adjusts the temperature accordingly, thus saving us money on heating. Unfortunately, Nest is only available in the US (it doesn't work with systems in Europe). However, I found another, also 'smart' thermostat designed just for Europe:

    Tado

I haven't found any reviews of this equipment online, apart from the release on technology blogs. Personally, I am very tempted to try it - whether it actually passes the result. It is interesting in that it can be 'rented' for €8.25/month and thus tested for a whole year. However, I thought I would ask first - maybe some of you have been in contact with this type of equipment, maybe you know of something even better?

I have a full kit (Smart Thermostat (Starter Kit V2) + Extension Box) connected to a Junkers Cerapur Smart ZSB 14-3CE plus a water storage tank(boiler). Apart from the fact that the DHW preparation control doesn't work, and the idea of lowering the house temperature via user geolocation is all well and good but for passive buildings, unfortunately my boiler shuts down in the absence of internet (no fun when it's sulfurously cold outside). For three weeks now, the TADO service has not been able to find a solution, nor has it been able to show me how to start up the heating system when the internet connection has been interrupted for external reasons. The TADO service does respond quite quickly to my comments/requests (I have sent a total of five e-mails) and sends laconic information such as "we have updated the firmware of your devices, now everything must work" or providing links to their own articles in the help centre, after which they mark the issue as resolved - unfortunately, none of the problems reported so far have been resolved. In a recent message TADO asked me to be patient because they are swamped with work :-) . Well, as they say "the better is the enemy of the good" and although the remote control function is most welcome, I still now regret not using the boiler manufacturer's controller (CW 400) straight away. To recap, this week my TADO kit will go up for auction.

You have nothing to regret the CW400 itself can't do much either.
Another thing is that the manufacturer, or rather the manufacturer's representative in Poland knows little how to configure what materials available riddled with errors, in my opinion a failure.
In my opinion a failure. I could not find a service technician who would be able to handle this.
I was in correspondence with them for probably six months because the boiler documentation, or rather the Heatronic module, did not agree with what was on the module!
You can play around, but the results are poor, only in the advertising everything is beautiful.

And yet TADO is staying. Despite the fact that I had already downloaded the new controller (Junkers CW400) and had a preliminary appointment with the installer, I did not give up on continuing the correspondence with the TADO service and, thanks to this, I finally got through to someone who did much more than redirect me to another help centre subpage. This time, the TADO service made an effort and "engineer" Svea Kübler joined the correspondence. Performing the upgrade’s Extension Kit again solved all the problems (no DHW control, no heating in the absence of Internet, problems reaching the specified temperatures).
P.S. „Early start” rather does not work, I don&#8217t use geolocation because this rather makes sense for passive houses.
